I wanted some for the cut, so I went to GNC to get a bottle, and there were two different ones. A standardized and a non-standardized, the one I ended up buying(standardized one) had over 3 times the active ingredient polyphenols in each pill, and the guy said that was the good stuff, or something
my questions is, does that make a difference, and did I make a good choice to pay the extra buck for the one with more polyphenolis? and what is polyphenolis with respect to green tea, cutting, and the good antioxidants in green tea, thnx for the help

Polyphenols are plant compounds that are beneficial to humans, they are the *active* ingredients in green tea
Other than the GNC part of the equation it sounds like you made a decent purchase

Main thing you want out of green tea extract is EGCG.

it's always better to get standardized products so you know what your getting.

if its does not say it, probably 10% or less. if the polyphenols content is 90%, its usually 20-40%. If they dont state it, its probably on the low end.
I use scotts finest EGCG which is 500mg caps 90% polys and 45% egcg. They have the best price on green tea extract caps I have found.

I use white tea extract, has a much higher polyphenol concentration than GTE. It is from the same plant too, they just extract it before the buds open. I take 2 caps in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. Seems to have quite an effect on appetite, i have to remind myself to eat at times.

that could mean a lot or very little egcg
I have green tea caps with 40% catechins and 60% polyphenols.
Good? Bad?

Well, the first thing you did wrong was to go to GNC and BOUGHT SOMETHING.
Figure out what you want and then order it online. In my experience, MUCH cheaper.
