I was wondering what some of you eat besides the staples? I mean everyone eats tuna, chicken, coche, ect ect. But what is a clean food you have included into your diet that is well not necessarily normal for a cut/bulk whatever. Me personally I have included egg drop soup made with egg whites, 3 cups is very filling, and only 135 calories.

So please tell me what you eat besides boring stuff.

Damn, you said clean food. In that case, I got nothing :(.

Yes I have plenty of dirty dirty foods that are "unique", but it's hard to cut on tasty food.

Tin foil dinners. Lean ground beef+veggies+ a little condensed soup. Now that i'm dieting I actually eat solid food and find this very filling whilst being low cal.

Well, I don't think most people here have them on a regular basis (cept for you you mexicans out there) but I eat tons of tortillas. Whether I'm eating to maintain or cut, tortillas will never leave my diet. I gotta have tortillas.

I like a lot of the less common grains like bulgur and barley.

Why?
It's a saturated fat, and it's yummy.

The yummy part is debateable. Blech!

I could eat butter slathered on everything all bloody day. I LOVE the stuff.

I haven't put butter on anything in close to 10 years I'd say. The thought of it disgusts me. The only thing worse is margarine.

Margarine is not a food. That stuff is VILE.

Oh yeah...and sugar-free maple syrup (it's basically just sugar alcohol and splenda). 1/4 cup only has 10 calories...I put a little on oatmeal.

I have salsa all the time don't know if anyone else does, I either buy it made already or make my own in a food processor. Goes great in sandwichs and wraps.

There's a big difference between sugar-free and regular maple syrup. It's like diet vs. regular pop.

I guess you've never had a Russian sandwich....:) (1 slice of bread+a coat of butter so it's no longer transparent+salami+cheese(optional)) I used to live on those as a kid. Hadn't had one in over a decade... not sure if I'll be able to stomach it now.

On Topic: I'm a dumpling fiend and have been for years. Siberian dumplings, of course (not the stuff you find in soup at your local Chinese takeout).

Lentil Soup. I have 1 bowl (2 cups) of that a day, and if I miss a day or two I usually crave it so much that when I get my hands on it next I'll have 2-3 bowls.

Would like to try some Im always looking for a good soup.Fitday lists it at 450 cals, about 18g protein, 8g fat, and the rest from carbs. The one my mom makes contains lentils, onions, spinach, some spices, and a tad of onion soup mix.

Hotsauce here..all kinds. Salsa when I get a chance to make it, as well as guacamole.
