For quite a while the media has been focusing attention on steroids. You hear stories about 300,000 highschool students doing steroids in 2004, and girls as young as 9 taking steroids, and like everything we become habituated, and it all becomes second nature. There are even sites popping up on the net like http://www.steroidking.com and http://www.united-pharmacy.com/ selling this **** to the public.

I honestly dont care if someone does steroids, cause it's their own body, and it's better than them smoking. I saw an episode of Conan with Chris Rock, and Chris Rock said something like, "If there was a pill that you could take where you would be better at your job, wouldn't you take it?". This is very true, pornstars in the adult industry pop viagra like it's pez, lawyers and doctors ingest lots of caffeine in order to stay awake, so what is wrong with athletes taking steroids to get better?

What are your thoughts?

Because Athletics are the only thing that start as kids, you're not a doctor at 10, and theres alot of stupid kids around who will see there favourite athlete doing steroids and believe this is why they're the athlete they are, so the kids take steroids without proper information and bad things happen.

No, they are attracting more attention in society. Sociey does not understand the reason why someone would want to use anabolic substances to increase muscle or athletic performance. The public views this as superficial, dangerous, and idiotic. I disagree, but that is just the way it goes.

Yet plastic surgery is widely accepted.
Budiak went to go get a fitted shirt at Men's Warehouse.
they only carry one line and he asked why.
the salesperson's response was 'Because today's businessman is getting fatter"
SAD.

At least steroids show everyone you want to make yourself better. I'm not a big fan at all of them, but they beat the **** out of doing nothing and being a stain on the underpants of society.

I think steroids have been getting less accepted in society gradually ever since theyve been created. They were legal up until the 70's. IMO in the 80s it was still accepted and people were all about gettin huge. Since the 90s its mostly "get fit" get skinny go atkins. In the U.S they're schedualed class 3 or whatever as bad as cocaine and heroine.

I'm also confused as to why steroids are banned while products such as cigarettes and alchohol are widely available.

When I discovered that human growth hormone which isn't even an AAS and is something my body produces naturally is also banned here in Australia I was dumbfounded.

The stuff looks like the fountain of youth to me. Go figure.

Edited to add: AAS users annoy me in that they can make such great gains then I can with less effort. If I wanted to compete, I would be forced to break the law. If AAS were legal there would be some sort of parity and competitive sport as well as amatuer sports would be fairer in that sense.

Genetics is a lottery anyhow.

1) Your body produces testosterone naturally too, so that's flawed thinking.

2) HGH isn't without side effects.

Yeah but with HGH you don't need to take unnatural substances like estrogen blockers. You also don't have the shedload of problems you have with AAS messing up your normal physiology to the point your performing a complicated endocrine balancing act.

And while HGH does have side effects they're very mild compared with AAS. But like I said its apples and oranges, HGH != AAS.

Now I'm confused. Are you against steriods because they help with the gains. Isn't that what you are expecting to get from HGH? Make gains with less effort?

Genetics is a lottery anyhow. So true, plus this has so much more do to with how you're going to look than what gear will help you look.

HGH has some very large and very real side effects, you need to get your sources checked buddy.

No I'm not against steroids at all. I wish they were legal, then I could use them  .

Theres really no comparison in negative side effects of AAS themselves and PCT drugs vs HGH. But then of course theres really no comparison in the anabolic effects of AAS vs HGH either.

I think they're class 3 in all states except new york (class 2 ie stricter) and alaska (not sure they're scheduled). Class 1 is the nasty stuff - coke, heroine etc. Class 3 is like vet medication and stuff.
