I normally buy from allthewhey.com and I usually buy 10 pounds of chocolate. I decided to try strawberry and it's nasty. I also bought some isopure alpine punch in powder form. The drinks taste awesome, but the powder form tastes like ****. Besides chocolate, what are the good flavors out there. I've heard there is some lemonade flavored protein. Is that any good?

As if the 10 inch banner at the top weren't enough... The reason I go with allthewhey.com is beause I get 10 pounds of protein for 38.95. Maybe I should start adding ice cream to my shakes.

You are getting 10 lbs for $38.95 for the exact reason you have already stated, the quality is inferior.

In fact, the thing bargain hunters like yourself don't always take into account is what are they actually getting? In other words, you are buying 10 lbs of powder but how much actual protein are you getting? Does the product match the label claim?

Protein products are not 100% protein hence the reason you see 20g of protein per 30g serving. You have ash and other constituents which make up the balance of the serving.

So, when someone buys 10 lbs of protein for next to nothing what are they really getting? Is it 5 lbs of actual protein? Is it 6 lbs? What are the REAL savings now?

The above doesn't even take into account the flavor and mixability which can be something else all together!

Buy Nitrean, but a quality product and support a quality company which has YOUR best interests at heart.

The quality is not inferior and I'd probably go as far to say that I work out more than you and the protein refuels me just fine. I said I was getting tired with the taste. It is a 30g serving with 20g of protein. It has a lot of vitamins in it too. It is still probably more protein than Nitrean.

Nitrean has 24g of protein per 30g. Tastes great and mixes easily. It costs more than whey because it's a blend - comparing prices is like apples and oranges. But hey, if you want to save a couple of bucks and drink a ****ty tasting shake for the next 10lbs, then go right ahead.

Also ... saying you workout more than someone isn't really the best way to bring credibility to your posts. Especially when you're smaller and weaker. Just a thought. :)

You just might work out more than me. I am not sure what that has to do with the point.

My point is that there are so many products out there, so many magazines that stick these products, and so many 6 PAGE SPECIAL AD reports. I'm not above calling foul since most of these substances haven't been clinically tested. I might get some gourment protein. Has anyone tried those?

I'm going to say that everything besides Nitrean sucks. I've tried Serious Mass, NLarge, every Muscletech product on the planet, and a few others I can't recall at the moment. Nitrean>all. Don't fight me on this one. 24 grams of protein PER SERVING. With 70 servings per $30.00 container. Hard to beat that. Over 1500 grams of protein for that. I'm am NOT getting paid to write this. In fact, I pay THEM so I can have it. Figure that one out. It's a good product. Try it at least once. Chris, don't you guys have sample packs or something? lol

Im going to go out on a limb and say if not for the fact that ON doesnt contain casin and that the deals I get on it can't be had anywhere it would be just as good as Nitrean. I like choclate flavor and have tried Bodyfortress, and a sample of banana from GNC. I can get 10lb bags of ON for 42 dollars. Thats 23g per serving times 115 servings per 10 lbs=2645g of total proteins for 42 dollars. That rounds out to .16 cents per gram, with the nitrean is .2 cents per gram

Thanks for the testimonial! We really do appreciate the opinion of folks like yourself.

We don't have samples per se, but I have been known to send a free sample when it is requested for the reason you mentioned. When people try our product they buy it, pure and simple.

I like ON's chocolate, mint and strawberry. All (to me) are very tasty with no fat milk.

If you spend some time reading some of the posts made by the various members here and look at who the owners are of AtLarge Nutrition, I doubt you'll need a clinical report to help you make your mind up.

Btw, I have tried white chocolate from the Gourmet protein brand. I did no like it. It was too thick and it tasted horrible when mixed with water.

If you are looking for a protein blend which mixes well and tastes great than go with Nitrean.

If you are looking for the most bang for your buck than go with the cheaper brand.

I'd say it really depends on how much you are saving. If we're talking about hundreds of dollars a year and drinking ****ty tasting protein is fine for you, then I would recommend buying the cheaper brand. If drinking nice tasting protein is worth the extra cost for you, than go with Nitrean.

Just one thing: I wouldn't say Nitrean delivers better results than any other protein, since for most people this makes up maybe 15% of their diet. If you live off of your protein shakes, than you might want to consider the advantages of a blend over an isolate but even then the difference will likely be quite small.

There is an independent lab report somewhere on the ATW website that verifies the label's claims as far as grams of protein per serving, so you should at least believe that you are getting 22g of protein per serving.

That's basically what I said in the ON vs. Nitrean thread. If protein powder constitutes a major portion of your diet, you'll probably want to ensure you're getting a high quality product (and a blend at that). If not, I don't think it matters.

Have you ever tried our product Canadian? No I have not. I'm not sure if this is simply a question or a smart remark because I don't believe I said anything negative about Nitrean. I know in the past we have argued about many things but I have always said Nitrean is a superior product to almost all others (disregarding price).

Read Drai's post, that sums up my thoughts.

I really do try not to ask a question just to make a "smart remark" as you put it.

I asked because I think you would truly be sold on the product if you tried it. Perhaps I should send you a sample?

I truly believe that if you used it you would then be confident in telling people it is worth just a bit more to get the best.
