From Dps Nutrition, its $23 for 10lbs. Anyone try it, there has got to be a reason its so inexpensive.

N-Large, Mammoth 2500, MuscleJuice... all the same thing. Muscle Juice and Mammoth contain roughly the same amount of protein as N-Large, but have ~400 additional calories basically all from carbs (maltodextrin, sugar) and fat.

I've drank more than my bodyweight in Muscle Juice powder. Choclate is the best. Its damn cheap and it the only thing that will pack size on me. I switched over to n-large and I couldnt drink near as much (tastes worse and less calories) and I ended up losing weight during that month. I'm sure this muscle juice has more sugars in it than most weight gainer, but it definatly works.

When you switched to N-Large, you were drinking 400 less calories per shake and thus did not reach this caloric intake goal. This doesn't mean MuscleJuic "works" or "works better". It means you don't understand the basic principle that energy in must be greater than energy out to gain weight.

The MuscleJuice is cheaper likely because it has more sugars (though doubtfully much more) and the makers of MJ are a much smaller name than N-Large.

I stopped buying proteins, eventhough i have friends that work at GNC and vitamins' world. at 5'7" 155lbs, i need to worry more about solid foods.

Nothing, lots of people do it and it works just fine. People grossly overstate the amazingness of solid food. If your getting 1400 cals a day, then the nutrients from solid food might be important, but most of us have more important things to worry about. Shakes own.

Man are you serious? I thought the stuff tastes like brownie batter. Not that taste is too important to me, but I was pleasantly surprised when I first tried it. I've had much worse.
One thing I dont like about it though is I cant get it to blend with milk, but even with water I believe it has 990 cals w/ 55g protein per serving. As with a lot gainers it has a fairly reasonable amount of sugars and sat. fat. You could find better, but with 19 servings in a tub it's a pretty good deal.

Try one cup of water and one cup of milk with 3 scoops of powder. If you mix this in a blender for a few seconds it should come out as a perfect liquid. This makes a drink around 1000cals

And as far as taste goes, the choclate is delicious. Vanilla taste like drinking a liquified white choclate easter bunny (the first cup is great but it gets unbearable quickly) all the other flavours are pretty bad.

so then why is it so cheap?

Seems expensive to me because it only has about 21 servings. That's 3 weeks and your out. I dunno, you can get some creatine for that price.

Dedicated, its less expensive than most weight gainers. I know that N-Large is $32-$36 for 10lbs. At 900 calories you really only need one shake per day if you have 1500-2100 calories from whole foods. That means it would last 21 days, or three weeks. Thats $1.10 per day for a damn big meal. (compare that to a chicken breast, glass of milk, whole grain noodles, broccoli, and a fruit for dessert)

Furthermore, creatine prices have dropped. I bought 50 servings for $12.99 from GNC. The benefits of 900 calories are superior to creatine.

i got a 1000g of CEE from bulknutrition for about $36. at 2-3 grams a day, that averages to 400 servings or 9 cents a piece.

Just wondering, when did you start taking it? I know it's not a miracle drug or anything but did you notice anything besides just a bunch of water weight? I want to try out creatine and see how I respond but I don't know if it's worth the money.

Thats assuming it was even for you. :p

where?Grocery store. It's listed as $25 on the company website so I have NO idea why it's selling for so cheap. I got 4 months worth of that stuff, lol.

Just bought a new pail today, they finally put more nutrition info on it.

per 4 scoops (250g) mixed with water

calories 990
calories from fat 162
total fat 18g
saturated fat 17.9g
cholesterol 77mg
sodium 117mg
potassium 990mg

total carbs 152g
dietary fibre 0g
sugars 60g
protein 55g
Vitamin A 47IU
Calcium 375mg
Iron 1.5mg

Any thoughts on this? The sugar content seems a little high. What is an acceptable sugar intake for a 5000 calorie per day diet?

So long as your proteins and fats are ample, it doesn't matter.

It has too much sugar for my preference in a protein product (Muscle Juice). That said, a friend of mine has used it and likes the taste and felt it helped him to add weight.

My biggest beef with Muscle Juice is all the Saturated fat, like 17 grams a serving or something.

simple sugar is bad.
It's only good post workout.
Spiking insulin all day is bad...
Like riding a roller coaster of emotions.

Try eating or Blending Complex carbs food(Brown rice, natty oats, yams)
Add clean protein powder in it (Optimun...)

Best shake out there
