There isn't a place for sugars on the nutrition facts part when you fill out custom foods, but there is a place for alcohol. I know there are sugars and sugar alcohols but I thought they were different. Are alcohols sugars? (regarding to fitday at least)

Sugar is a carb, thus has 4 calories/gram
Alcohol is in its own category and has 7 calories/gram

fitday has a slot for total carbs and a slot for dietary fiber. i think if you subtract fiber from total carbs, you're left with sugars, aren't you?

Like said above, sugar is a carb. Simple as that.
