I have only been living with him for 2 weeks. Its a temporary stay for the summer, and Ill be moving out in anohter 2 months.
Sunday he is going to Florida and I am going back to my hometown for the week. What do you guys suggest I do to comfort him?

Give him his space unless he wants to talk. The worst thing you can do is try to talk to a guy when he's upset and he doesn't want to be talked to.
However, I would perhaps do more than your share with the chores for a few weeks. Give him time for himself.

Yeah I dont see him very often anyway because he works like 12 hours a week, so that shouldnt be a problem. I think hes handling it pretty well tho overall...

I thin you mean 12 hours a day, otherwise I want his job :D. But yeah give him space, help out with the chores, let him be unless he starts the conversation...then you can give him your condolences.

Let him know that you will be there for him if he wants to talk but otherwise don't pressure him into conversation. Let him show you how he wants to be treated.

just don't say to much.
Sometimes saying lots of what you think are nice things, aren't so nice in a time like that

that's the most important thing - let him come to you and not the other way around.
RussianRocket - getting drunk won't help a bit..

I'm always confused in scenarios like that. I had a friend/acquaintance whos step father died. I debated whether I should go to the wake or not for like an entire day...
On a side note: My stats are almost identical as yours darius. idk I just find that really wierd for some reason.
