I think I hit a plateau as far as weightloss goes, I am currently down from 248 to 231. I haven't lost any weight really for almost a month, when before I was losing 1-2lbs per week.

I talked to a few friends that are into fitness, they suggested I increase my caloric intake about 500 cals per day for a week or more, then cut calories back down 500 and the weight loss will continue.

Would this be an accurate statement by them?

Any help would be appreciated.

asses huh?

Generally, my diet consists of the following:

Morning: Glass of soy milk, nutragrain bar, Green Tea
Mid Mornining: Apple or other fruit, green tea
Lunch: Chicken breast(s) boneless & skinless, grilled, vegetables, fat free yogurt
Mid Afternoon: .5-1 can Light Tuna in water
Dinner: Chicken breast(s), vegetables, applesauce
Dessert: Soy milk, apple

Thats what I eat 3 of 5 days of the week. I play basketball every night that its nice out, bike or walk if I have time. I just moved into my gf's place, so I don't have my bench set up yet :(

where's the fats? you should have some natty pb, olive oil, flax... some kinda fats in there. your body won't burn fat very effectively if you're not taking fats in. they're essential.

personally, i'd also recommend ditching the nutri-grain bar, one of the apples and the applesauce. add some oatmeal, firbrous veggies, ff cottage cheese maybe...

I believe h0lywars meant access, not asses (paul this isn't a porno k?)

Yeah your diet needs to be changed up. Have you found out what your maintenance calories are? Your breakfast is horrible, you need more of everything in it! you should also be drinking about a gallon of water a day.

I would add in more meat, ditch the soymilk unless its for lactose problems, Ide get some whey powder to meet your protein goals. Have you been tracking your cals so far, if so what # are you at each day?

I used to track them, but I lost my fiday account for some reason. I can only estimate around 1500-2000cals.

I have whey powder, just haven't been using it as much as I used to, only use it when lifting, and since I don't have my bench up, no lifting, no whey. I will start up again. Thanks for the info.

As far as ditching the soymilk, do you suggest I drink milk instead? I can drink milk, but it upsets my stomach a bit. Cheeses, yogurt, etc is fine.

For a breakfast, what would be a good suggestion for something portable, since I eat at work?

I will take into consideration what all of you have said. Alot of the things like the natty PB I already have, just need to eat it (I hate PB).

Thanks for the info.
