So this is what I normally eat throughout the week. Every day is pretty much the same, I find it really easy not to cheat if I always eat the same thing which is boring but...

Im not sure if I want to bulk or cut or just maintain my current weight for awhile until I get rid of the last bit of fat I have on my lower back and lower abdomen. Id gestimate Im around 14% bodyfat but Im not really sure. I know that I have to figure out my LBM before I can really understand exactly how many calories I'll need to intake per day.

I think Im not eating enough protein, eating too many carbs, fat seems okay.

Any advice is more than welcome.

Fat too low, carbs too high. Cals seem low. Protein could be higher.

Based on the number of calories you're eating, I'd say you're in cut mode. If you're at all active you're probably running a deficit of more than 500 calories per day--but everyone is different so you'll have to track your weight over time to be sure.

I agree with the recommendation to get more protein and a bit more fat.

Well I usually have a cheat meal or two on the weekends. Im going to cut down to one cheat meal (pizza) on friday. How much should I be taking in protein/carb/fat wise, 50/30/20? 2200 Calories sound okay?

Would taking a whey shake help get more protein without adding on too much fat?

My weight has pretty much stayed at 160 for the last two months, working out about 45-60 minutes 6 days a week.

2200 calories does not sound okay if you are trying to bulk.

The ratios are meaningless. Are you comfortable on your current diet? Are you obtaining your physique goals? Are you in good health?

A balanced diet isn't measured by the INPUTS, it's assessed by the OUTCOME. If it's working for you, it's balanced. If it isn't working for you, it ain't balanced, no matter WHAT genius came up with the ratios.

Alright, then taking that into consideration.. I havent gained any weight in the past two months, but I'll now be doing 3 days a week instead of 6. I think Im going to eat more and monitor my weight for a couple of weeks and see what happens.

Not gaining weight? Eat more. I agree that your fat is pretty low. Hell, your calories are way too low for a bulk at your weight. 1800 calories? I was cutting on that at your weight. Carbs are fine where they are on a bulk.

Essentials are at least 1 - 1.5 gram(s) per pound of bodyweight in protein. Maybe at least 20% fats minimum, then I would just play with the macros from there to obtain your calorie goals.

I forgot, should I be eating less calories on my off days? Or just keep it the same every day..

Thanks for all the feedback!

keep it the same, since your body grows when your at home yo uwant to constantly provide it with nutrients.

Yeah their GNC 100% whey is good. Grab some fish oil pills or flax see oil, that will help your fat grams a bit. multi-v's if you arnt taking them already.

I just checked out the price of their Mega Whey, 50 bucks! How many shakes is that gonna get me? It was the smaller of the containers, I dont wanna get the giant one incase I hate the taste.

hmm, see the good time to go to gnc is the first week of every month cause you get a killer discount (only if your a member). I bought 6lbs of whey and it lasted close to two months for me. It was about 4 scoops a day or 80g of protein. I would get a smaller one to try it out first.

ON Whey is the best bang for the buck at GNC imo, and pick up some Mega Mens's mulit-vit's, and the GNC Fish Body oil. Gold week is a good deal, it's 20% off everything..

Eh? Making fun of my grammar!? No really, I dont get it. So yeah, ok thanks, I just didnt want to over do it with the protein shakes (as opposed to eating REAL protein).

edit: Ok, I know my calorie intake is a bit low, is it a waste to eat that much protein when not eating enough fat as well? I mean what happens if you eat really clean with a lot of protein?
