How normal is this? Do I possibly have some calculations incorrect? It seems to have the bulk of my calories being depleted in basal and lifestyle, which doesn't make much sense to me. I sit at a desk for a majority of 8 hours, I only workout for 2 hours max, between cardio and weight training.

Can someone look at my fitday and tell me where I have gone wrong, or is this normal??

Edit: btw, I forecasted my meals and exercise based on past weeks. So there will be no more calories or exercise for today on this journal.

And yes, I know my protein is low for my weight, I'm trying to fix that.

Yeah a little web program is incapable of predicting how many calories you actually expend in a day. Just use it to keep track of what you consume and use trial and error to make adjustments.

According to Fitday I burned a majority of those calories sitting behind my desk. It brings new meaning to the term "pencil pusher."

Because a calculator can tell you exactly what your body is doing, hehe. It can provide an estimate, albeit a somewhat unreliable one according to your findings. But, you do burn calories just for being alive...it's what is called your basal metabolic rate.

FitDay is spot on for me when I set my basal activity level to Sedentary.

Fitday is working fine for me. But, I think you have to add how many hours of sleep you get per night to Activities, because that reduces the calories burned.

Yes it changes thing a whole lot, I always thought they were crazy with over estimating BMR.
