So, my training partner and I are getting ready for chest day and he says to me out of the blue, "I'm leaving my wife" (leaving names out). I'm like whoa, they got married only 11 months ago. So I start asking questions, whats going on, is there something wrong, he says no, its that he has been banging this chick from work that is 10 years younger then him (he's 30) and he isn't in love with this chick but he knows that he'll cheat on his wife for the rest of their marriage. He then tells me that he has banged all these chicks at the gym, and I am like WTF, do we know each other. I don't even see him talk to anyone but me at the gym. We always sit at the gym and give each other looks when certain ladies are walking around that are hot, little did I know he was going to town. He also said he tagged one of the female trainers at closing on a Sunday, back in the trainer office, she is ridiculously hot. So stupid a$$ me comes home and tells my wife, now she won't let me lift with him anymore (right like that'll happen) and she wants to call his wife, whom she doesn't know.

What pisses me off is why the hell get married? Secondly, how in the hell does he find time to tag all these girls? Thirdly, how do you get away with it, guilt would eat me up, and I'd also have to tell someone for braggin rights.

It's really none of your wife's business, but if HIS wife is someone you consider a friend, then you need to find a way to save face before he tells her. Honestly, though, it's probably not gonna matter...

I doubt that a guy could cheat THAT much, and his wife not know it. She probably just refuses to accept it, and convinces herself that he loves her despite it. Hell, HE probably has convinced himself that he loves her despite it, but I just don't see how that's possible.

You've got a real crap situation on your hands, and, to keep your own wife happy (which is of the UTMOST importance), you oughtta appease her on this one. Or, if you do still workout with him, don't do it behind her back..

The only way you can cheat and not get caught is if you can really do it without telling anyone. Even then, they could tell someone so really there's no garuntee, but if you're the kind who has to tell your friends for bragging right then you're not the type who should be cheating.

I've been thinking about it and for some reason I think he is exaggerating the amount and who he has been tagging. However, we shall see. He is a good training partner, but its not like we hang out or are life long friends, however I always considered him a really nice guy until the crap I heard today. Known him for about 2 years, don't really know his wife, except met her twice. My wife trusts me, she just doesn't like me associating with someone like that. I am interested to see if he is BS-ing about the trainer, I've never even seen her give him a look or a hello. Just weird.

Trust me on knowing if your man is cheating... you just know. I have been cheated on and there is no way to describe it at all but you just know.

As for him, well he probably wanted his wife to have a "source" so he told you because he knew that you would more than likely talk about it with your wife. Most women have a defense mechanism and our first instict is to call him an a$$hole and then tell the poor person that is being cheated on.

I just hope that she's not the kind of person that thinks he won't do it again

From what I have seen. He is usually at the gym before I get there, but the times I've seen her she has been either in the office or with clients. Who knows -- I kind of want to call him out on this one. But honestly I don't care that much, will train with him and try to support him through his impending divorce. Not like they are super family friends, a fun guy that I like traingin with, that has made some real ****ty decisions.

This guy is pathetic. People make mistakes, but I will never understand a person who repeatedly cheats on their significant other. In this case, he should have never been married. But break it off before sleeping around. I feel very sorry for his wife. It would be a tragedy if he infected her with an STD as a result of his unfaithfulness. I know a woman whose husband cheated on her and gave her Hepatitis. Talk about insult to injury.
