Beginning to end. Numbers a bit off likely, but you get the idea. Wish I had a new FDB shot... that June one looks ridiculous haha.

Strength stuff:

Bench: Feb 2004 - 95lbs x 8 (1/2 ROM) --> June 2005 165lbs x 8 (full ROM)

Squat: Jan 2005 - 185lbs x 10 (slightly above parallel) --> August 2005 - 275 x 5 (ass to ankles)

Deadlift: Jan 2005 - 225 x 2 ---> July 2005 - 375 x 1

Pullups: September 2004 - 7 x BW (~160-165 lbs) ---> July 2005 - 5 x BW+25 (~195 lbs)

Overhead DB Press: - August 2004 - 35s x 6 ---> August 2005 - 60s x 5

Leg Press: August 2004 - 6 x 470 (1/2 ROM) --> March 2005 - 6 x 630 (1/2 ROM) --> July 2005 - 10 x 540 (full ROM)

DB Lunges: June 2005 - 10 x 55s --> August 2005 - 9 x 75s

Seated DB Curls: November 2003 --> 6-8 x 15s --> July 2005 - 6 x 40s

Flat DB Press: August 2004 - 8 x 55s --> July 2005 - 8 x 80s

I think that about does it. Now some pics:

RickTheDestroyer

Rocking good progress man, seriously.
Sometimes when I'm feeling unmotivated, I'll go to one of your progress threads and kick myself in the ass for having screwed around with BS when I started lifting, instead of getting big early on by doing things right.
Then I go kick my ass in the gym and eat a few pound of food.

I definitely intend to show my 15-year-old bro this thread- he's skinnier than you were, but I want him to see that there's hope.

2 things-
1. I'm sure this is posted somewhere, but how tall are you?
2. I find it odd that your DB bench weight totals almost as much as your BB Bench weight. Most people I see usually have the DB total at about 60-80% of their BB. I'd be really surprised if you couldn't push more than you list, FWIW.

Built, Dan, Kevin, Sylvia, WILLGETNICE: Thanks, much appreciated. It's a shame that there were (and still are) time periods where I'm not as dedicated as can be; I woulda liked to see what woulda happened if I stuck with diet every single day for this whole period of time.

Idaman: Yep you should, it's the best way to track progress if you're into hypertrophy.

scarz: Dude what are you saying? I was so jacked in the first pics. :french:

MM: Thanks. Rarely ate wheaties ;).

YungLifter: I was about ~150lbs or so in the beginning of August last year, now I'm in the mid 190s. Never cut in between.

DenimDemon: I had no idea I was so special to you, :p. I don't think its POSSIBLE for someone to be skinner than I was... I was like a skeleton! I'm about 5'10". I haven't done BB Flat Press for 5 weeks now. My DB was at 70s for 10 the week after I stopped BB Benching and since then it's gone up to 80s for 8. So I suspect once I return to BB Bench after a week or so I'll be doing 185 for reps.

Herc: Thanks, it's a strong point. Arms are the weak one.

RickTheDestroyer
08-05-2005, 09:39 AM
Seriously dude,
the kid is almost 5' 11" and might weigh 120 fully clothed.

The sad thing is, I've gotten him to lift sort of half-assed (limited access to equipment, limited motivation, keeps getting hurt doing stupid ****, plus my mom is the WORST SPOTTER EVER, i.e. "oh honey, that's too much weight! don't hurt yourself!") for nearly a year... well, more like quarter-assed, or one-fifth-assed. He's gained 20 pounds, and he still looks like a heroin addict. His elbows were the biggest part of his arms, and may still be.

If he'd eat, I could get him beastly, but he just won't put food away like he needs to. I'm going to make him an uber-weight gainer from protein factory and make him knock them down like it's his job. At least he squats beautifully.

Unfortunately, he's also in that time period when you start getting into lifting and read the Arnold book and think everything in it is gospel. So I'll tell him to lift a certain way, and he'll be like "well, should I be doing these too? Arnold says blah blah blah." It's hard to explain that as awesome as Arnold was, he was also really full of **** and didn't really know what he was talking about to a disturbing degree. I'll say "do some barbell rows and bench, and your arms will grow if you eat more" and he'll say "Arnold says to do curls and these things" and will motion overhead tricep extensions. Damn Arnold.

Tell him Mitch said, "Shutup and squat". :D

I have a buddy who's 6'0" and 115lbs. If you look in ILL_Mitch's pic thread (which should be on page 1 in members pics) I posted some pictures of the kid. The last couple pages.

RickTheDestroyer
08-05-2005, 10:18 AM
That kid is maybe slightly skinnier than my bro, but Will has a pretty big bone & joint structure, like I do.

Now that my gym is set up in my garage, I'll make him get mom to drive his ass over so I can really make him work. He is a total masochist when it comes to taking lifting punishment, so there really is hope for him yet.

Canadian Crippler
08-05-2005, 10:54 AM
Chris: Thanks man. What's wrong with the hair? To pimpish for ya? :cool:

Guido: Thanks dude. And LMAO, that made me laugh. ****, now people are looking at me. *lat spread*. CRAP! Now people are running away! ;). Oh, It's Hockey66's girlfriend.

Denim: Yeah, wide builds are always the best. They take the longest to fill out, but when they're full they look bigger than all the littler guys :D. As you can see in the pics my shoulders (and sadly hips too) really grew outwards over time. Must be all the GH release from doing heavy compounds at my age if that's possible.

Hey man, could be worse- you could be blessed with narrow shoulders and wide hips like me. Thickness comes pretty easy for me, but I don't have width for ****. Will (my bro) will be wider than I am, if he sticks with it. I'm more destined for the proverbial barrel-chested strongman look... except I'm not strong.

jkirk, Rex: Thanks bros.

Wikked: LOL, I suck at most sports though :(. I'm natty good at things like wrestling since as a kid (now too) I was a BIG pro wrestling fan and would always grapple for real with family and friends. I'm sure I'd get owned by real wrestlers but I think if I trained for it I'd be good.

fixation: I'm Hulk Hogan! *flex*

body: Hehe, not close to as lean as I was in the beginning. I was tiny tiny tiny, but ripped as hell.

Yung: No, usually more. I would gain 2-3lbs a week for like 1 month or so, then become undedicated and gain maybe 1 or 2 lbs in that whole next month. I also had an injury for 5 weeks where I lost some weight.

gyno free: Thanks man. Yes, I gained about 2-3 inches in height from March 2004 to November 2004. I haven't grown much vertically since then, not even .5 of an inch.

Very impressive progress. Coming from a fellow ectomorph I know theamount of work you've put it.
Just one thing, how is it that you weighed 200lb at 5'8"? I was just wandering, since I'm 6'4", have apporximately the same lifts, a slighlty larger build, and about the same bf, but I weigh 200lb also. I have no pics, and I'm not trying to compete in any way, just wandering whether there is something wrong with me, or whether you just have heavy bones. I'd imagine your legs are huge.

It looks like I still have like 50, lol, but it's just old marks. I have about 1 month and 1 week left on it. I had similar scarring on my other shoulder about 1 month ago and it has basically faded now. I don't think all of it will fade but I hope and believe most of it will. I know for sure of two that will not, they've made holes basically.

once ur off accutane, a little bit of a tan will help get the scarring down and make it less notcieable... when i'm at my palest my scarring's still pretty noticeable, but when i go on vacation or during the summer, my scarring's a lot less noticeable, looking ripped man, keep it up (ur recomping right?).

Alright, I'm gonna update this in a week or so with some new pics lol. I'm currently 189lbs or so and still quite lean... not more than 10-12%.
