My favorites are Ronnie's The Unbelievable and The Cost of Redemption, and Arnold's Pumping Iron. I also have Jay Cutler's video, Lee Priest's, and Kevin Levrone's, but they aren't nearly as good.

Dorian Yates' videos run a close second. That dude trained INTENSELY.

The Battle for the Olympia videos are good. You get to see quite a few of the competitors in their last days prepping for the Olympia. In the one for '98 Levrone reps 495 on flat bench like 2 days out.

Hmmm- I ought to check those out. I have to say, it really is a shame that Levrone and Shawn Ray will never win- both of those guys looked so good for so many years. Cormier looked great too, although I think he was a little shakier about dialing it in right in time for the comps.

So was Kevin listening to his awesome band for motivation when he pumped those out? ;)

Lol, that was far before the Fulblown (sp?) days. Lee priest looks particularly incredible in it, and Paul Dillet incredibly lazy lol.

****, that's right- Lee looked so good in the Encyclopedia...

I really think that he realized that he'd never win the O so he started half-assing it, but stuck with it enough to keep his supplement endorsements.

Speaking of Ronnie Coleman's training videos, and someone tell me which is the one where Ronnie DB benches 200lbs x 12 and Squats 800lbs? Was it The Unbelievable of COR? BTW which one is better?

I've seen Jay Cutler's 'A Cut Above', which was my first training video and I'm actually quite surprise by the weight he pounds. Still very heavy but not as heavy as other pros in the other videos. However, it's a fairly serious video with no humour whatsoever (which frankly, issn't it's intention anyway) but Jay did make some decent comments and let us know quite alot about his training and diet.

Dorian Yate's 'Blood and Guts' is one video to check it out. Sheer intensity and hardwork, man. Of course, it will be kinda wierd to make all those growling and spitting in a public gym :D Oh my Yates looked absolutely huge!

My last video was Kevin Levrone's 'Mary Muscleland Machine'. Kevin is really strong (example repping 495 during his last set of bench, followed by 405 incline), and he wants us to know it. Throughout his training video were all songs performed by Fulblown and there a couple which I thought was good. Kevin makes his video quite fun to watch with some of his humour such as the bodybuilding 'rumor' comment. Even though his 100lbs DB curl is not exactly strict form, it's impressive nonetheless. Are those arms really 24 inches though?

Not only has Ronnie set the bar so high on stage that no one can touch him, he has also done this with his videos.

There is not a video out there that is as good as Ronnie's. Why? Becuase of Ronnie's intensity and charisma. You wont find another video out there with a guy screaming like a madman before his sets and pushing ungodly amounts of weight. Ronnie actually gets you into his video with his little sayings and stuff. Videos like Ruhl's and Cutler are "meh" in comparison, no charima, no character, and no heavy ass weight!

Yea I was very disappointed in Cutler's video. Most the time he is just doing some machine or other boring isolation exercise. I don't think I ever saw him do a squat in the video. Ronnie's on the other hand, is amazing.

I think it's pretty amazing that Jay can look as good as he does and not handle weights close to Ronnie's...
I've liked Ronnie's and Lee Priest's videos the best... I think it was in "The Blonde Myth" where Lee is working out with some NYPD and starts joking around about giving steroid advice...

ronnie's video was unbelievable alright....unbelievably terrible... him dribbling on like a fool about the best barbecue sauce, eating 10 chicken breasts smothered in crap in his car, and the staged 999 call...please! Sure the guy can lift heavy but he just seemed to put out a few raggidy sets and hurl it to the floor gasping...then we get to see him driving his dodge viper and a droll gangsta rap soundtrack in the background. He seemed like he was going to keel over at one point...the man aint healthy at all. I never understood why he's a part time cop, if the guy has luxury cars and a huge house and million dollar sponsership surley he dosen't need to be.
He is a cop yet he pumps his body full of drugs....Am I the only one to find that mildly amusing?
The best is pumping iron and total rebuild both Arnies videos....
Sidenote: The BBC did a decent documentery on BB call testosterone boys..If you cant find the DVD search on a p2p (emule is the best by far) and you are sure to pick it up.

Um... I disagree almost entirely with everything you just posted (as in I like Pumping Iron too).
But Unbelievable is not supposed to be fine cinema- it's just a glimpse of the life and training of the best bodybuilder in the world, which I find interesting. If you had actually watched the video, he gives his explanation as to why he was still a full-time cop at that point. I also enjoyed the eating parts as well- you get to see what he actually eats, instead of the BS they try to present as "Ronnie's diet!" in FLEX. I think it adds a little bit of a human element as well- it's like," sure Ronnie is a ridiculous freak beast of man, but he likes K.C. Masterpiece just like me!"

Say what you want, but the man is the best at what he does, and he will continue to win for as long as he wants to compete.

The name of his video, "The Cost of Redemption", always struck me as incredibly funny. I mean, what the hell is he redeeming anyway? Talk about high drama. And then of course it opens with Big Ron rummaging through a package of grits. “Grits”. He grabs the cheese and says, “Cheese”. The cost of redemption.

Whatever...depends on what you thinks makes the best bodybuilder in the world..Ron is the biggest/freakiest but not the best...I always thought Flex wheeler deserved to win much more..he had much better geanes than Ronnie and was much more athletically pleasing.
You enjoyed the eating parts!! Are you joking? It was like a bad comedy..? Frozen chicken breasts drowned in BBQ sauce, just eating that is not healthy...do you really think eating K.C. Masterpiece is healthy? He can eat any **** because he is on a high chemical diet...and these are the HARD secrets..come on mate... I always liked Ronnie, but when I saw that video my opinion changed...he just seems like he's lost and confused.
Say what YOU will, but the only reason he will continue to win is because thats how the buisness works.

In 2002 Ronnie came in a little "off" (compared to previous years)... many critics and fans started complaining that he should not have won, so he decided to train harder then he ever had before and came in bigger and drier then any bodybuild had ever displayed on stage.

He called it that because what you saw in the DVD was what he had to go trough to redime himself and come in perfect.

Since when are chicken breasts unhealthy? What are geanes?

You state these opinions of yours as if they are facts. You think flex is better- so what. Others don't agree with you-apparently, since he's won over and over again.

If you read the post I said that drowning them in barbecue sauce is not healthy and I never saw any veggies or balance at all...just chicken breasts...so thats healthy is it?
So you think Ronnie is better? I happen to disagree, whats your point?
I never once said they were facts! I just didn't want to over simplify my post because I thought most people would understand that it is just that...MY opinion. Jeez different strokes for different folks.
It dosen't take an expert to realize he's on a chemical diet.
And to top it off he once claimed in M+F that he was 100% natural.
A 3-4-5 time Mr Olympia is much more marketable than a 1 -2 time winner...sure theres more involved but I really thought Flex was much more genetically gifted. He had a beautiful balance to his body. Size isnt everything.
Thought this post would get to some people!

So rather than systematically address all the points that have been made so far, I'm going to just pull some **** out of my ass and say it, because I'm sick and I don't feel like thinking right now.

I don't like Ronnie the best- I thought Flex was great too, but my measure of "Best" in this instance is the fact that he has won the biggest competition in bodybuilding every year for the past seven years and will almost certainly win this year. He's big as hell, symmetrical (aside from the nasty gut), and he comes in in great condition. He's extraordinarily good at what he does- yes there are politics and bull**** involved, but since we're all going to have subjective opinions about who's physique is the most aethetically appealling, I think that the Mr. O is a good yardstick by which to measure bodybuilding goodness, or at least it's the best we've got.

I hope that was somewhat coherent, because I don't feel like re-reading it for errors/ run-ons/whatever.

Also, OF COURSE Ronnie would have said he was 100% natural in a magazine with a large fanbase of primarily teenagers- psssst! steroids are ILLEGAL. Not to mention the fact that M&F is a giant ad for supplements, so of course he didn't get big on shots of test, he got big on whatever nitric explosion creatine come buy ME bull**** that they're trying to push this month. He's not going to say "hey kids, shoot a gram of test and week and eat your wheaties (or chicken breasts coated in KC masterpiece as the case may be)" especially with the damn stupid steroid witch hunt going on right now.
I mean really.

I very well may have a fever, as I feel semi-delirious.!
