I am 5'8" and i weigh 135 pounds. I think i am going to have to gain a lot more weight before I can gain much more strength. what percent of fats/carbs/protein should I have a day for a semi clean bulk of gaining about 1 pound a week? I try to eat aty least 4000 calories a day. i am tracking my diet on fitday and for breakfast this morning I had 1214 calories with 52% fat, 28% carbs, and 20% protein

if you are a bb'er then 2 grams of protein per lb bodyweight.carbs @ about 1 gr and the remainder fat. How much depends on you. at your weight seems a bit excessive.

Need4, the ratios don't mean sh!t.

Think of it as "dosings".

Protein: 1.0-1.5g per pound LBM (or your weight, if you're lean. It'll be close enough.)
Fat: 0.5g per pound LBM (or more)
The rest of your calories: whatever combination of protein, carb, fat you like.

So, at 135 lbs, shoot for NO LESS than 135g protein and NO LESS THAN 65g fat. These can both go a lot higher. Carbs can be whatever. Just make sure it all totals to the calories you want.

Get those calories in! You gotta eat to grow.

I knew you'd like that one Built. hey wouldn't his min. fats be bit lower, since you didn't take his bf% into consideration? I konw it wouldn't be much lower, but I guess it depends on his bf.

oh i drink a LOT of milk. about 80 ounces a day

Sure, his min fats could be a bit lower, but he's bulking anyway, so it doesn't matter much.

I get so lost with all this cuting and bulking. It is hard enough to just get stronger and keep lifting without the added confusion of knowing when and how to cut or bulk. I gave up and just stuck with lifting. If I try to lose weight (cut), I will just end up getting frustrated so I put all my engery into lifting.
