There's 2 kinds of Vitamin E. Make sure you use d-alpha and not the synthetic crap they sell for cheap. The synthetic is no where near as effective as the natural d-alpha. 800iu is what i use/day as well.

forgot to mention it's also very good for the liver, but the only one that works in this aspect is the natural one i mentioned.

LOL @ the dan duchaine of vitamins....Ronnie Coleman doesn't even need 800 iu of vitamin e a day
400 iu EOD is more than sufficient...it isn't water soluble

How do you tell the difference between natural and sysnthetic vitamin E? Mine says Vitamin E(as dl-alpha-Tocopheryl Acetate and d-alpha Tocopherol). I guess it's a blend. Notice the difference TocopherYl and TocopheroOl though.
What should the bottle say for 100% natural Vit E?

stick to d-alpha. You have one that combines the 2. Just get the natural one.

d-alpha Tocopherol? Is that the name of the natural formula? Is it what it says on the bottle?

it will say that on the bottle. You could just eat a lot of walnuts and recieve plenty of natural E

Actually beercan's statement may yield some merit.
I have read that alpha tocopherol or acetate should be limited to less than 800 IU and that other vitamin E forms alpha E succinate, gamma E, tocotrienols should be boosted.
make of that what you will. I don't think you need to be particularly worried about the different types as such - providing, as TT said that you're not getting mass-produced junk from poor retailers.
ust get some vit E down yah, but don't "over do it".

Doc's right. If you guys want to grow, eat 800 more calories, not 800 more iu of vitamins. :D You'll get what you need from your food.

Good call Chicken...
Alot of the recent studies are showing that d' alpha tocopherol in excess can have a negative impact in numerous ways on the body. Gamma tocopherol is looking a very promising supplement to combat these effects.
Regarding tocotrienols, the 'jury is still out' regarding the efficacy of these, looks interesting so far though.
