debbie gibson!? haha it must have been love....

i have heard that atari group is pretty good.

It Must Have Been Love was by Roxette. ;)

I think I mentioned these songs, but they're some of my "last set" favorites.

Hypocrisy - Warpath
DE7oX4mKcco

Impaled Nazarene - Armageddon Death Squad
LWmCNe6NG40

Testament - DNR
MJd84cp0_og

And the one, the only...Motorhead.
vQu91gvb0CY

Man, Guido threw in a bunch of old Industrial I'd almost forgotten about. I need to dig out VNV Nation, Cruxshadows, ASP, Covenant, and Wumpscutt.

i can't get pumped from steady fast music, i need something with a good hard beat, then a distinct hard as **** breakdown. but nothing to the point of inaudible screaming... i can't focus with things that i can't understand.

also, any old soundtracks from games i would play and be SUPER focused on, NFS:U for example, put on static x-the only, im in the zone.

static x seems to be great workout music personally, also:
everytime i die
i killed the prom queen
katie remains silent(friends band) *plugplugplug*
slipknot
a few hatebreed songs

Serj Tankian is a talented man, anyone listen to his cd?

I don't really like it. I don't know why. It just doesn't do it for me, but I like System of a Down, except for Hypnotize. Mezmerize I think is really enjoyable.

I just can't get down to stuff like Brain Drill. It's fun to listen to on occasion to appreciate the speed and precision, kind of like Nile or Cryptopsy or even Dillenger Escape Plan, but I just can't get excited about it. It feels like noise calculus after a while.

edit: given the other topic about the greatest video game weapon ever, I think Cerebral Bore would be a ****ing awesome band name.

ALLLLLL of the rocky songs like "burning heart, eye of the tiger, no easy way out" no easy way out is mad. morale of the song is to go the hard way, no easy way out (besides steriods)

Recently my choices have been

Through the fire and flames by Dragonforce
Stricken by Disturbed
Stronger by Kanye West
Crank that by Soulja Boy (randon but gets me bouncing and energized)
Crazy Bitch by Buckcherry

Pretty much any type of fast paced rap. Like break ya kneck by busta rhymes. I do not really like rap though and very rarely listen to it. Even when I am lifting most of the time i'll just listen to country. That's just what I am use to and lift best to. It's wierd.

Unfortunately during the summer I am confined to working out at my community rec center. Unfortunately I am forced to listen to Magic 105.7 - SOLID GOLD OLDIES, 50's music... It's absolutely horrible, bringing my ipod is the greatest thing ever.
If you are not used to this type of music it will take time getting used to. But you should definitely listen to this.
Bury Your Dead, Whitechapel, For the Fallen Dreams, The Acacia Strain, Conducting the Grave, xAFBx or Emmure.
This music is absolutely ridiculous and will get you more pumped then you have ever been.

I thought it would be cool to post a thread of "songs that get you jacked" for that PR attempt. I'm always scouting my XM radio looking for good songs. Here are just a couple that always get me going:

1) The Bleeding - Five finger death punch
2) One - Metallica

I have a long list but these two are at the top of my list.

Post up your top "jacked up songs". I think it would be a useful thread to see what everyone listens to.

JP2, Parkway Drive is amazing live. Good choice.

Ya they are a great band, i'm suprised more ppl haven't heard of them. I'm guessing they are more popular in Australia than the US.

I like As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Underoath, The Devil Wears Prada, Catherine (old stuff), Impending Doom, Alesana, August Burns Red, and pretty much any other Metalcore and screamo bands.

Any rock or metal that is just so heavy and has a good beat that I feel like my ears are going to explode and pisses me the **** off. If my skin turns red cause I'm so jacked, that's what I want.

I thought it would be cool to post a thread of "songs that get you jacked" for that PR attempt.

There are tons of threads on this topic. Please use the search and bump an old discussion rather than creating a new thread.

I'm working on re-creating my workout playlist for my MP3 player. Looking for any advice on good pump up music for the gym. I mostly listen to Hard Rock (Metallica, Pantera, Godsmack, Disturbed, etc) or Rap with a good beat to make you want to workout.

Any tips on good songs for my playlist would be much appreciated!

Moved, "yes" ~ but a quick evaluation will also show that the post is "Closed"

And

that there is no reply option, or way to vote in the poll.

Here are a couple of songs you might like:
360 ("Call it a Sin" or "Frayed")
KISS (Creatures of the Night)

They play a mix of stuff at Crossfit. Some of it I like, and some I don't. I had to listen to that "Feel Like A Monster" song twice last night. I hate it.

But, about 2min into the workout I barely notice what song is playing--it's just too intense and I gotta focus on the movements.

Maybe there should just be a permanent "music while lifting" sticky so this doesn't keep happening..?

I will discuss this with the other Moderators as I think that something like this in the bodybuilding & weight training forum could save everyone a lot of time (not having to search, move posts, etc.).

Anything other than Korean pop music that they play almost nonstop at my gym.
On the off chance they play something else, it's American rap. Which will just have to do.
K-pop is so bad that anything else, even rap, helps me lift.
Don't like to wear headphones while lifting so I just have to suck it up.
