Hey i'm 175lbs. i workout 3 times a week. How many calories should i consume in a day and how many would i need to consumer in order to gain weight substantially?

If you're gaining too much weight, back off.
There are too many variables to give you an estimate of how many you need.

i would say you need around 2500 and 2800 to gain

If you want to gain a lot of weight just eat A LOT of damn food. I gained 7 lbs in two days then I gained no more. Just eat eat eat weightlift sleep repeat. It's not too hard.

ummm is that even possible? are you sure u didnt weigh yourself one day when u woke up then 2 days later after you'd been to an all you can eat?

Water weight, full stomach, etc. etc. etc.

check this out, BMR is the amount of calories you need just to stay alive. AMR is your total calorie expendature/day

18X175=3150calories.

Start there and adjust accordingly.
