Just curious on what YOUR weight is and when you decide to bulk / cut, how much do you do so?

My stats are in the sig below. I weigh around 183 lbs currently, and I was thinking about bulking to 210 lbs before my first cut.

What do you all think? I just want to make sure that the gains I am getting will be more ... definitive when I do my first cut if you get my point :D

210lbs is a reasonable cut off point.

I think you should gauge bf levels though. If you're still relatively lean at 210, continue bulking. If you end up a fat mess at 210lbs, then drop some bodyfat before you bulk up again.

My cut off point has been ~220lbs (5"11) lately. Although this next time I wouldn't mind pushing it to 230lbs:D

I'm 6'1 and I've been bulking from about 180 to a planned 205-210 depending on the fat gains. I'm currently at 195 and I am still quite lean and have put on a minimal amount of fat so I think I will try to hit 210. Although lately I have been thinking of cutting when I hit 200 and then bulking again just so I won't have to do such a prolonged cut.

I'm 6'2", I ran my bulk up to around 223~224 before my most recent cut, I'm shooting for 195lb 6~7% bf.

After this cut, I doubt I"ll ever see below 200lbs again.

Id like to see 205-210, I just dont know how I'm gonna make it happen before my metabolism slows down though, just too much ****ing food.

6'2" Currently 189lbs started around 170lbs at the beggining of this year. 16 lbs to my goal of 205lbs . I am gettting so fed up eating

im 6'3" at 208 bulking to 220 and beyond, depending on what my body fat is at, hopefully i wont have to cut til about 230-5

I'm a hair over 6', and I last bulked to 220, at about 18%. I then cut poorly, and am unhappily trying to put muscle back on. I tend to store easily but have a tougher time losing weight- so this time I'm bulking slower and more carefully, and including some HIIT to keep the fat gain to a minimum. So far so good- I'm at 205 and I'm not planning on cutting again until I get really disgusted with myself- hopefully somewhere around 240-250, although this will be awhile, probably.

Your simply not eating enough if you are not gaining weight. MILK works for me

6'2" 206 now.

Bulked up to 223, have cut down 17lbs.

I like the weight I'm at, but I still want to drop some more BF...

haha..thanks bro, i wish...anyway 2 years ago I was pretty close to the same weight, I might be about 10lbs heavier now in the onseason and about 20lbs heavier in the offseason, at the level and age I'm at I'm trying to put more focus on conditioning the muscles and work on seperation and striations etc......

6'1 225...FAT...

Haven't done anything but cut or maintain yet. Started at 245. Lifts are still increasing, and today makes one year of lifting.

6' 235, ~16% bodyfat. I'm not gonna cut until I get to about 300. I dont wanna cut and be little.

Played competitive golf for many years, never lifted and not a big eater.....was afraid it would ruin my game although lifting and fitness is highly regarded by the tour pros today.

6'2" 204lbs, currently bulking. I am up from about 180-185lbs and am going to continue bulking until 220-250, depending on when I get sick of having a high bf %. I want to be 200+ at under 10% bf when I finish cutting so that's what I'm keeping in mind during this bulk. I'm the strongest I've ever been, and with my current diet, the sky is the limit! :evillaugh

Yeah man- I thought that was one of the main reasons people thought that Tiger dominated- because he did some (allegedly) serious weight training.

Depending on how I look in Jan'06, I plan to bulk until spring April/May and then cut over the summer months. Humidity is the ultimate hunger deterrent.

I never really considered b/f %.

I have put on about 15 lbs since I started, but honestly, I don't look like I have accumulated more fat, just mass. So I assume I am doing this right... Right?

lowest weight i've ever been is 162 lb at the same height... i looked like a scarecrow with no muscle.

I'm 6'. I was 178lbs when I started bulking for the 1st time ever a couple weeks ago. Now I'm 185lbs but I also started taking creatine for the first time when I started my bulk, so probably the majority of this new weight is water. As of about a month ago when I last got checked [before the bulk], I was at 11% bodyfat. I'll buy into this idea of bulk till 210 unless I become a fat***. I'm currently at 3300 calories a day and gaining a little strength, but I don't know how to tell how much is from raising my calories and how much is from taking creatine. Good luck to us all. The 4625 calorie forumula [weightX25] sounds delicious but I don't know if I'll work my way that high. I'm getting bad gas bloating from eating so many calories [oatmeal/sweet potatoes etc.]

6'3" and in January, before my 9 month cut, I weighed 255lb, after nine months I dropped to 220lb and started a bulk. So far on my bulk (2 months thus far) I am up to around 228-230 and I am still measuring the same waist size and my lifts have skyrocketed so far. When my pants get a lot tighter then I will know to start a cut again. I have my Levis Relaxed fit for a cut and my Levis Loose fit for a bulk. When the 36' jeans get too tight then it's time.

6 even, lowest I've ever been is 175 and I was not happy, my wife tought I looked sick... I usually run around 195-200, when I hit 205-210 panic buttons start to go off and I start cutting... I guess I'm more of a slow clean bulker

6' 206-207ish...Im going to bulk to 215 hopefully. My bodyfat is getting a little out of hand though, lol. We'll see what happens though.

Well a month and a half later, and I am back to where I was. Down from 200, back to 195 and I am already starting to be able to see my abs :D

i`m 6'3 and a fat 225lbs, but not as fat as i was when i was 250lbs :)
Hoping to get down to 220 then do a short bulk before cutting again to hopefully 210 and a sub 20% bf

I like this idea, its good. 33-34 inches and I'm happy, 36' jeans and I start to worry.

BTW I'm 6'4 and currently 184lbs. Used to be about 192 but an unitentional cut took place over the summer and I havn't got round to gaining it back yet. Next week I'll be looking OK on the work front tho so I'm starting my bulk. I'll head for about 205 then maintain/cut awhile before heading for my 220 (my ultimate goal)

6'6", about 275.

I'm carrying some fat, but I'm bulking anyway--my weight has stayed relatively constant over the past few months, but I've gotten stronger and changed composition, so I'm going in the right direction. I am going to bulk through February, up to about 290, doing HIIT to minimize fat gain. Then a cut of some sort will be in order.

6'0" and about 175lbs, I have seen 185 before. I am shooting for 200-205 by Feb. or March. I have been eating alot of quality foods and am sitting at about 3500cals/day. Sometimes less. Thanks for starting this thread, it is allowing me to see people that have been or are my weight and where they have gotten to with hard work.

6' and 185lbs now....Formerly a skinny-skinny guy up until High School. My latest workout program started 3 months ago. Up until the last 3 weeks, I went from 165lbs to 175lbs. In the last 3 weeks my bulk is rocketing seemingly of its own accord. Whereas before I had a hard time keeping on weight and not having an appetite[ an enviable position to some I guess] I'm now keeping on weight very easily.... and all this as a lacto-vegetarian [the last 3 years]!

I credit the weight gain mostly to grains, bulgor especially, pastas, tofu and cauliflower [4-6 litres of 1% milk a week at most]-no eggs. I'm not even gorging on these foods, I eat alot of it it but I don't go overboard. People are surprised I'm so 'unskinny' as a vegetarian- I even have a little belly paunch :D

10 years ago I went up to 195lbs [yo-yo'd down to 150/160lbs up until this summer] but was force feeding myself with everything imaginable-mostly junk/non-nutritious food :P.
Luckily I got nutritious smart, and no more junk, starchy, or canned foods- I get foods in as natural state as possible now.

It's funny too since I just saw a Discovery channel tv show on Roman gladiators where there was scientific speculation a high proportion of their training diet was vegetarian - barley and beans- solely for the purpose of bulking up for their fights.

going to bulk to ~200 or so, and depending of fat gained will likely keep going. i aim for size so strength increases though, so i'll likely end up gaining a good amount of fat depending on my body's reaction to gaining so much weight. i bulked from 160 to 180 last year and didn't gain much fat, so we'll see how it goes this year. trying to keep it VERY clean though.

basically, bulk until you feel like it. if you aim for looks, keep it clean...

lol, we could race! though you've got me by a few pounds already. my aim is to gain as much as possible by april as well in conjunction with some competition on another forum. i hope fitday helps like it seems like it will. i'm already motivated to enter in all the food i eat so i make sure not to miss anything. if you haven't set up an account, you should.

Now after 1 year break im down to 190.
I will try to get up to 225 after we see.

Anyway weight dont mean nothing,im all about growing muscle.
I know guys that are 190 that look much muscular then 230 slob

Looking At Some Of The Guys Weights Body Weight 205lb I Have Always Trained Never Got To Involved In It But Thinking About It I Got Up To 210lb Form A Skiny 10 Stone Guy And Every One Tells Me I Should Do A Comp Am Know Down To 182lb And Look Well Wicked And Am Aiming To Go To Around 173lb Am Now Thinking I Have Missed Out All These Years.

I started at 160... hit 185, and now am at 174. Aiming for %10 or less bodyfat. Currently at 14% and working my ass off :alcoholic
