View Full Version : Sugar Alcohol
What is it? I see it in Juicy Fruit gum and other sugar-free products. How does it differ from regular sugar?

They do not cause a sudden rapid effect on bloodsugar levels, so no ''insulin spike'' good alternative regular sugars, if you MUST have sugar.

There is a slight insulin response, though. And if you load up on enough of it, you should have a toilet nearby. Your ass might erupt.

Chewing gum has barely any sugar alcohol (usually around 1 gram). Sugar alcohol can be upsetting to the stomach, so don't chew a whole pack in 5 minutes.

what you really gotta watch is the 'carb friendly' bars and RTD's, which are often sweetened with sugar alcohols, at levels that can give you mud butt.

Pretty much.
