Hey guys
I was wondering what you do when you have a minor injury and you take a week or two off, in terms of diet and work out wise. Do you eat at maintenance and do some cardio? I kind of hurt my lower back while squatting with incorrect form. Doctor told me to rest for a couple weeks. Wondering what I should do meanwhile. Thanks.

Something that's not too taxing but that keeps it moving is probably wise. Ask your doc for suggestions in that regard.
I don't recommend hard dieting while healing an injury.
I WOULD suggest laying off NSAIDs - I understand they interfere with protein synthesis.

Doesn't aspirin prevent muscle growth to some degree?

Aspirin is an NSAID. So yes.

Oh yeah...duh. That's why I just tough it out after lifting weights and don't take any pain relief pills (if I happen to get sore one day). The only thing I trust is good food. :)
