You can't lift for 2 months and get the body you want. A lot of us have been at it for many years and still aren't satisfied with our results.

How`s your diet?

If you are not squatting and deadlifting, that could be a possible reason for your inability to gain size. Not that you NEED to do these two exercises to gain size, but these are two of the best。 By eliminating them you are making it more difficult to gain size than need be.

If you're not gaining size, like other people said your diet is most likely to blame. Lots of peole here can help you with that.

If you need motivation, that's trickier because that can really only come from you. Either you want it or you don't. If you stalled in your lifts, that's a natural part of the learning curve (for me it was, at least).

If deadlifts and squats are too painful for you, you can try other exercises. Those two exercises are great, but not the only ways to improve overall body size/strength.

Also, if these exercises are too painful for you, there could be something structurally wrong with your back, knees, etc. See a Doc maybe? And don't be afraid to lighten up on squats and deadlifts. I frequently take a week off from deadlifts to give my back a break because deadlifts are painful for me too. There's nothing wrong with dropping some weight from the bar and practicing form and such.

A lot of people gain size without squatting and deadlifting. A lot of people have very well developed upper bodies without training there lower at all. I'm not advocating this, but it's ridiculous to say you won't gain size if you don't squat or dead.

With that in mind, you didn't gain size because you didn't eat. That, and because it was only 2 months.
