Is it possible? We have a sauna in our gym if that helps. Suggestions? I only want to do this for one week.

Um... fast. Your body can take a week without food. Some religions do it once a year or more. Drink plenty of water.

Don't expect to be happy with where the 10 pounds comes from, though...

No I do not plan to do this. I think I'm just going to go very very low calorie, no carb and lots of cardio.

I lost about 10lbs in a few days once without even trying. I'm pretty sure it was just extreme dehydration though because I didn't eat much less than usual and I put the weight back on in about three days (thank god, because it scared the **** out of me).

What about little below maintanence, low carb , and some cardio, and replace more fats in place of carbs. Would that be a proper way to cut?

It would be better. If you keep your carbs VERY low, and hit ketosis, you'll probably drop at least five pounds of water in five days. I know I did the first time I did it, and that was with no exercise at all.

Well, you stated you had 'reasons for wanting to do this' that you'd 'rather not discuss'.

To me that means 'stupid ass reasons', and that's why you got such worthy answers.

If you're too embarassed to tell a bunch of people who don't know you, whom you'll never physically meet, why you must lose 10 lbs in a week...then maybe you shouldn't be trying to lose 10 lbs in a week!

ofc, u can easily lose 10 lb or even more in a week..you mentioned sauna and extreme low cal diet, it seems like you are more than willing to do anything or even sacrifice your health just to change a number on the scale that absolutely means jack.

You can try to sit in the sauna room for 5-6 hours a day, and dont eat or drink anything and u would easily drop 10 lb in a few days or more

Otherwise, just get someone to drop you off in the middle of a desert and tell Ęthem to come back and pick u up in a week. It has probably the same effect.

It's possible. Cut everything non-essential (where carbs are basically considered non-essential). I would eat lots of vegetables, a reasonable amount of lean protein, and some EFA's. And nothing else. Keep lifting.

it is possible.. people who lose appetite when they have a fever lost 5-10 lb a week
get ready for a nice rebound after though.. and honestly i wouldnt do it.. i dont think 10lb makes that much difference on a guy, since its mostly gonna come from othe rbody parts.-- not your stomach.

If you want to lose 10lbs of fat in a week, go get liposuction. There is no other way.

If you have to make weight for a comp, meet, etc, then it's more than possible, but it won't be fat.

if you would have lost 10lbs a month ago you wouldnt be worried about this, dont look for an easy answer. Hit the gym, its a lifestyle not a crash course!

you can go on one of those crazy diets they do to lose weight for operations, or those miracle ones you find in womens magazines which tell you to live on a couple of tissues a day and do 2000 sit-ups. You might manage to lose that much WEIGHT, but not fat, your body will think theres a famine on and will store more fat, youll probably end up fatter than you started within a month or so.
Whatever, if your trying to get down to a weight class or something its not gonna hekp your performance.

I never said I wanted to lose 10lbs of fat. Please don't post in this thread with the intention of making me look stupid. I was looking for some tips more then anything. I'm down 3lbs today, its been 3 days and my diet looks like so......

Breakfast: Peanut Butter and Turkey Sandwhich on WW bread,3tabs fish oil, 2tabs Flax oil, 200mg Caffeine, 50mg Ephedra,

Lunch: Salad with lots of turkey, Post workout protein shake,

Dinner: Another salad and 2 cans tuna.

Before bed: 2tbsp Natural Peanut butter

I could give you tips on how to lose around 10lbs in a day. But I still don't understand why you would want to.

If you're really going to do this anyway, cut out the bread all together. Eat some more fresh vegetables.

Well, I could lose 10lbs of water weight in a few days. If you want to do that, drink 2 gallons of water for a few days, then cut out your water a lot, do a ton of cardio, only eat protein and enough fat to keep you sane, go in a sauna, sleep with a few sweaters on, deplete deplete deplete, and viola. Doing only 3 of those I'm down 4.5lbs in 3 days. Enjoy.

Boxers tend to just sit in a sauna for hours on end in a day to meet a weight before a fight. I suppose u could easily do it in a week but mainly just all water to lose. Try wrapping urself in a clingfilm and sit in a sauna for a full day! I watched an american programme few years ago which was like the UFC but just boxers, had sugar ray lenard in. Basically a bloke had to lose 8lbs the day before a fight and sat in a saunu for many hours in the day and he managed to do it. Granted he was exchausted and nearly collapsed but i guess this is the best way to do it.

You could lose up to 12lbs in a week if you do a cleanse. Not generally bad for you. All organic vegetables (as many a possible) lean meat (fish and chicken) and plenty of healthy fats like nuts and oils (poly mono unsatty). Especially if you would be switching over from a normal diet of plenty of carbohydrates. Basically atkins with clean food and not just zero carbs. You would want to drink alot of water to help flush those toxins. Probably feel better after you go back to your normal diet also. Just make sure you are training as hard as you would want yourself to train to pursuade this.
