View Full Version : Critique My Bulking Diet Please.

I go to the boxing gym and exercise mon-thurs and on fri-sun I jog 3 miles a day and do about an hour of weightlifting. I'm trying to bulk up from 110 to 125. (I'm 5'4 13 almost 14)

Here's what I eat atm.

Breakfast - 2 cups cooked oatmeal with 1 cup whey protein and 1/2 cup milk in the oatmeal and 500ml water. 500 cals.

Lunch (school) - 1 cup brown rice with 2 cups 2% milk. (this and salad is the healthiest thing in the cafeteria lol, no skim milk. After this it's fries etc.) about 500 cals

Supper- 2 boiled potatoes or 1 cup rice with mixed veggies and it varies between chicken breast, steak, pork chop, ham etc. with 500ml water. about 700 cals

Post Workout- 2 cups cooked oatmeal in 1/2 cup skim milk with 1/2 cup vanilla whey on the protein and 1/2 cup vanilla whey in 250ml skim milk. Then about an hour later I have some green tea. (I like the stuff lol) about 600 cals

I usually get around 2300 calories, too many? too few? you decide

first off add healthy fats to your diet!

and that won't bulk you up much! you're 14 eat up son!

Ok, should I add 1 tbsp some Natty PB for breakfast and post workout? That'd get me another 200 cals and like 18g healthy fats up. That good?

I've been on this diet for 2 weeks and I've been losing weight rofl.

healthy fats you should be taking

olive oil
egg yolks
natty pb
nuts
avocados
etc...

you need to up you're calorie intake looks low too me for a guy your age!

Even considering my weight? Should I really bump it up that fast? Won't I get fat instead of more muscle?

It's not like that. I look a lot bigger then I actually am. I tell people I weigh about 130 (lie) lol. Because I look it. They're always asking me if I lift weights and such. I think my body grows really fast or something. If I had a digital camera I would show you, I'm really muscular and I have abs and such, but I'm 110 pounds and I do one arm curls with 20 pounds lol.

If you're losing weight on that diet you obvioulsy need to eat more. It's not rocket science. Add calories until you start to gain weight.
