Ok, currently I am supplementing glucosamine sulfate, generally twice per day with 500mg caps. Basically, I am taking this as a preventative measure as I put some joints under a lot of stress with my martial arts conditioning. I bought a bottle it cost about $13 canadian. I was browsing a MA gear sight and found another supplement tailored to joint care and have listed the ingredients below. This stuff is significantly more money, $65 so I was wondering if all these added ingredients would make a significant difference or not. If anyone can answer this I'd appreciate it. It's made by a supp company called MRM, dunno if anyone else has heard of this company before or not...

Anyway here's the breakdown of active ingredients:

Glucosamine Sulfate (2KCl) - 1500mg
MSM (Methyl-Sulfonyl-Methane) - 750mg
Chondroitin complex - 420mg
Collagen complex (typeII) - 300mg
Boswellia serrata- 300mg
Noto-Panax Ginseng - 150mg
(95% Saponins supplying min 4% Noto-ginsenosides)
Sea Cucumber - 150mg
(25% mucopolysaccharides)
CMO (25%) - 150mg
Bromelain (2400 GDU) - 150mg
White Willow bark (0.1% salicylates) - 120mg
Tumeric (95% curcuminoids) - 113mg
Manganese (citrate) - 12mg

I took glucosamine-chondroitin when I was recovering from my knee injury. My doc/PT said it might not help, but it certainly wouldn't hurt and that they had seen some results with older people taking the stuff after hip/knee replacement surgery.

mrm is a good company..they make the eca i use.

taking a look at the compound it looks pretty good....not sure what the ginseng and sea cucumber are doing there...the ginseng i can hazard a guess at, but i don't know much about sea cucmber. it's got aspirin in it too (white willow bark) so it's a nice complimentary formula.
