View Full Version : When you make peanut butter at home, do you peel?

I got some unsalted peanuts and I plan to make my own natural peanut butter because it's so expensive here. When I eat the peanuts directly, I don't mind the thin brown peel. So this may be a stupid question, but when I make peanut butter, should I peel that off? Will I be losing any fiber?
Thanks for any info.

I would peel it off unless you want tiny bits of **** in your peanut butter. I don't mind them either, but for some reason I think it would detract from the glory that is peanut butter if little pieces of peanut skin were floating all over the place.
