When you are trying to lose weight, is it better to combine cardio and lifting onto the same day, or is it better to do them on separate days?

More important than both is making sure that your diet is in check and that you are eating below your maintenance level of calories.

Beyond that, if you do cardio on days that you lift, do it AFTER your lifting session.

Anyway Eric, instead of posting all of these questions, you really should read some of the articles on this site, and just spend time READING through the forums. The search button feature as pointed out is very useful.
