Two things I noted:

Crippler you're an *******, and unobservant. My calves definitely needed work 2.5 yrs ago...So how are you gonna say.."your calves need some work" without seeing current pics?

I really needed to do this thread. Every time I feel skinny I can come back to this.
Progress has been made for damn sure...Off to the store to get the dock.

I am 6'2" so as a bodybuilder I am at a disadvantage.
Chase I have to disagree a bit. My legs definitely have improved. My back has always kinda been there.. in Highschool I'd have *******s do the "ILS" walk to mock me when I genuinely had some lats from the style of bike riding I rode.

My chest has come a long way as you will see in the new pics.
I'd have to say legs and chest have improved the most. This is desirable as I assessed these as my weak points and have come round on them. Now I have shifted my focus towards arms and shoulders.
My shoulders have lagged due to me being extra careful with them. The last thing I want is an injury.
My biceps just suck. Irony can be a real bitch.
I wanted to take shots after my back and bi night but all my stuff got jacked and killed my desire to do so.
I have to try to convince Budiak to download the photos as neither of the PC's at my house are capable. sad.

However, I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements in your chest. I feel for you with the arms. Getting them up to a size that is proportional to the rest of you seems to be an elusive goal for us. I wish you luck and DAMIT, give me some pointers! :D

looking very large, bro. you've put on an insane amount of size in a short amount of time. i also have the same problems with arms. the thicker my core gets, the smaller they look. let me know if you figure that one out.

I have been waiting on Budiak. I would have posted them all at once except I thought once I got my dock for the camera everything would be great.Not the case.
Tony went MIA on me for 3 days ,not returning calls and whatnot due to a wedding and recovery from said wedding. Yes he lives within eyesight. No, I still haven't seen him in a week. I have had the pics for like 2 weeks in my camera and am more frustrated than any of you so shaddup!

I thought he wasn't because of his posts about how his bosses at his job approached him, concerned about the amount of mass he'd put on, but that he wasn't worried because he'd seen them do coke - therefore they couldn't get him in trouble becaues he had dirt on them.

I can honestly say that I never used anything from :
Muscletech or any of the other "anabolic supplements" from any of those companies.
I have also never used ProHormones of any kind.
I've never used anything that isn't already present in my body.

Definitely some progress there. I think the biceps are looking big in a number of shots. Quads look thick. Cutting will probably be difficult as **** after all that bulking, but I agree that it's the right thing to do.

I swear to god your ****ing twin is working out, in Maine, at this very moment. The guy always looked familiar to me, but I couldn't place him. Now I can. His ear is pierced, he has the gay little goatee, he's big and he's pale. However, I think he might be a little shorter than you. He's probably two-three inches shorter than me, and I'm about 6'3". This ****ing kid looks a lot like you. He's the one I talked about earlier in my journal, where I said I swore he took off his over shirt just to shame me when I was looking huge in the gym.

If I start my cut soon; I can be done with it by mid to end of january. There is a point where I am not happy with myself anymore and I done did passed it.
I just recently put on 18 lbs in under 2 months. That is a successful bulk in my book.
I'll make sure that I have Budiak take some pics to record it so it is at least worth something.

I have found in my experience that if I assess multiple weak points that I can't adress them all at once.
I mean you CAN per se. I just work better when focusing on one or two.
This go around I needed to work on my Chest development,arms, calves and legs as secondaries.
I probably could have brought my my legs up more but this back injury is setting me back a ways. Squats haven't been possible for weeks.
I accomplished several goals.
*Achieved a ten lb gain which I did in three weeks.(surpassing my all time weight goal.
*bettered it by 9lbs
*Set bench Pr's,Leg press pr's,curls...etc.
*brought forearms up quite a bit.
*furthered my strong points(except deads.)

One of the reasons I never posted a pic thread is because I am well aware of my flaws.
Hearing: "You Don't","You need to" "I think you should" etc is not a part of my goal setting process. Criticism is important when something is NOT realized IMO.
When the painfully obvious is stated it stirs up the "Slap" emotion I feel at work so much and is a courtesy I extend to my iron brothers.
In other words:
"I didn't ask you."

You look huge but during your bulking phase you put on too much weight to fast. I am willing to bet you are lucky if out of that 18 pounds gained that 4 or 5 of it was lean mass. I think cutting is a very good idea. But personally I would try to lenghten my bulking stage next time and gain the weight a little slower than this time.

I'd LOVE to know what you are basing this information on. Do you have ANY clue how long I was bulking for?
Over the course of my bulk I put on 27lbs. Total.
I gained about 2% Bf as well. You are somewhat right. But some of us cannot gain muscle without putting fat on. This is the rate at which progress was made every single session so this is what works for me ...PERSONALLY.

Im sorry I didn't mean to insult you. I was just going by what I read. You said you gained 18 pounds in 2 months. Do you really think that an experienced lifter as yourself can put on 18 pounds in 2 months and a majority of it not be fat? I would really doubt that you were able to gain that much weight that fast eating clean. I think longer bulking stages with a slower gain in weight while eating clean will give anyone the best results.Hey who the hell am I. I just was telling you what I see. I think you look good. Your physique is huge and well balanced.

Ok, You are right this guy obviously knows what he is doing. I was just stating my opinion. I didn't mean to look like such an ass, As for stats. I have trained on and off since my early 20s. I am now 37. I got back into it steady 2 years ago. I train alone in my basement I have tons of equipment. I'm 6'4" 252 I guess around 18-20 % bf.
max bench 325 (probably be better if I had a partner)dead 490 squat ? 290 x 5( I have had surgeries on my feet which reduced the rang of motion in my ankles which really hurts my leg training).. I'm in pretty good shape i get a lot of compliments on my build . I have been trying to get to 260 without gaining to much fat before cutting down in the spring to 12-14% bf or lower if I can get there. I havent made much progress this summer due to other obligations (my kids and work) But I managed to maintain all my gains from last winter and spring. Hey, lifting is the easy part eating clean and enough is the hard part.

I wasn't insulted so to speak. I have just been bulking a LONG time and the irony was incredible. I also never said you were wrong, though.
I alluded to having to gain fat to gain muscle. I have discovered that without going balls to the walls on a bulk; lifts and progress remain stagnant.

Thanks for the positives that were speckled here and there.

I owe that to a technique change. I finally quit limping after deads last time. Calves are still tight.

I was really dehydrated today so I figured what the hell...why not?

In the last pic that is my " MY god please kill me" face.
I have the flu. I can't flex my abs or I will throw up. I really couldn't flex anything in my upper body without pain or nausea.
This at least gave me a good idea of what I am working with.

I believe I will continue to cut (to make the most of this "jumpstart" if you will)..
I was pretty happy with today's pics considering I hadn't eaten in 2 days and had nothing that resembled a pump.
At this point of it though I have to focus on the end result that I want and not my weight/strength. Now more than ever anyway as I feel skinny and weak.

Yes I am 2 months into a cut.
Calipers are showing 10ish so 12-14% is about right.
I honestly don't care to get too much leaner than this to be honest with all of you.
As a matter of fact.
I took another pic today that kinda scared me.
The leaner I get....It puts me in a different weight class throwing dumbasses out.
I was 263..I'm probably around 235 right now or less.
I think I might just try to maintain /slow bulk til the arnold.
I don't want to weigh any less than this right now. I kind of acheived my goal in a sense as I have learned an approximate timetable.

At this point I am going to focus on getting well. Maintaining my weight/condition. and taking care of some things around the house.
This is as fat as I ever want to get so next time when I do this I will be closer to my goal.
I bring thee "skinny" enjoy the face. I was trying to keep blood off teh counter and failed miserably a second later.

I lightened the weight.
I slowed the reps down.
paused at the bottom.
I now do .
Standing smith raises, donkey raises. and calf presses.

Thank you. Although I didn't accomplish what I set out to do. It's just at this point it does not make any sense to go any further.
I am proud of myself for bringing my legs up while not being able to squat.
My ins has kicked in finally so I'd better go get my back looked at.
I think my days of Bulking like a madman are over. I am going to be a little more scientific about it and just eat enough over maintenance to make porogress each session.
Namely because after 2 months of cutting ; I look like a lot of other people here do while bulking.

good work, i know what its like to bulk up and still want to look hard n lean n cut. ive being wanting to bulk up myself (which i have but not as much as i wanted) your overall physique looks solid. i would say if your now trying to get cut or lean out, i would suggest you do it slowly. alot of people rush and wipe there diet from everything to quick and lose alot of solid muscle you've gained. good luck

I am actually doing more of a controlled Bulk right now.
Weighing 230 and down is not a good thing for the bouncing job.
I am not preppingo for a show or anything so that was as light as I wanted to be.
This bulk is going well as I am gaining strength in all areas but not fat.
Vascularity is awesome.

Bi's are 18.5's and my forearms are 16.75...
Can't have that tattoo I just got on a chickenstick.

Well, if you had your arm bent at a 90 degree angle then they probably did measure that big, but that's incorrect. You can flex your forearm, but your arm is to be completely straight. 15"+ and lean for this measurement is very impressive.

PSMF Diet my friend. That's what kicked things off. Then a 40-30-30 split with a minor deficit from there.

Nice, i always use something along those lines. I think in the early stages your body can handle the PSMF (due to the higher body fat levels) Then take everything up a notch and retain the muscle.

I am leery of taking them to be honest.

My legs are shadows of them former selves!
I lost all of my vascularity (for the meantime) in them.
As far as the assessment of the traps is concerned you are all 100% correct.
When I lost the ability to deadlift I lost my traps.
BB Shrugs were admittedly scary because it is the 1 exercise that will cause a twinge in my lower back every time for certain.
I've been stuck using Dumbells as it doesn't put that strain on my lower back.
However I've been stuck with 150's as a result.
With this though I will place more emphasis on trap work to the best of my ability...(that and they just installed a Hammer trap machine..so more weight is now possible.

An undetermined amount of High GI carbs in the morning.
followed by 7-8 eggs.
Meal 2
is 8oz beef and half of a small potato.

Meal 3
8oz beef large white potato

PWO
some high Gi carbs

followed by
8 oz beef

2 cans tuna

I'm actually eating solid food and I hate it.
Thank god I'm not working right now or i'd be ****ed

You finally got calves. I'm so proud. You need to do more hamstring work though, if you can. They're obviously smaller and are probably a major factor in your back problems.

Try doing behind the back BB Smith shrugs... I found that doing them doesn't strain my back at all.

SLDL's are crap and I hate them
When my legs were at their largest i had insanse Hamstring vascularity.
They are lagging NOW because of everything and have defnitely atrophied.
My back problems are from an impingement in the L5S1 region.
it WAS a gradual occurrence I now know as I remember my left big toe going numb from time to time. Drew we need to just talk like th old days as you were my leg motivation to begin with.
