there are a bunch of books i'm interested in, some of which my local bookstores don't carry and will have to ship in. it's definitely cheaper to buy from the US, just that shipping is crazy expensive, and i'm trying to save as much money as possible because they're gonna come up to a few hundred dollars in total.

those not staying in the US, CA, or UK, how do you get books you want that your local stores do not carry? or those who are staying there, any ideas?

Shipping books costs a ton of money or is very slow. Sneaker-net is the cheapest way. When's the next time you got a friend or relative travelling to the US?

Might not be a help but www.half.com sells used and new books cheap.

Maybe some of them are in electronic form and also in online libraries.
