View Full Version : How can i bulk on a high arobic workout?

i swim about 5 miles a day and i am trying to bulk up for water polo. I swim about 1 mle in the morning during my water polo practice and about 4 miles diring my swim workout. I eat about 4500 calories a day but i just recently started doing the afternoon swimming and i lost 5 pounds(180 now 175) I dont know how much more food my mom will let me eat. Please give me any suggestions that dont involve getting rid of any swimming.

Eat more. There is no other choice. Consume more calories and/or expend less calories, it's up to you how to do that.

Ya' gotta eat more. Eat a lot more fat - fat's full of calories.
Do you like natural peanut butter? Can you maybe get a few whey shakes into you, and some natural peanut butter? Bananas? These are easy ways to get more calories into you that won't break the bank.

Olive oil. Add it to everything you eat. Nuts, oil, butter, fats. Cals will add up quickly. Make a shake with whole milk, olive oil, peanut butter, whey.
1000 calorie shakes will help have whey powder/oats/milk/peanut butter/ice cream if need be / fruit

You eat 4500/day and you LOST 5lbs?!?
I suggest you wait until the off season and then try to bulk, unless you can handle 6k/day.
