Is it good to eat a lot of these?
They are relatively high in protein, 17g per 100g.
Are high in unsaturated fats, and have the highest amount of Omega 3 of any common fish.....I think.
The biggest bonus of all is that they are very cheap 68p ($1) for 200grams (8oz).
The only problem I can think of is that they contain a lot of sodium, 1g per 100g. But as long as you're sodium intake is ok throughout the rest of your meals then this should be ok.
Also they don't taste too great, especially 200g worth.

But all in all I think they are a very good food source.

kippering is the process by which fish is salted, smoked, split..etc....are you speaking of herring...salmon?
