Hey guys, The three supplements I take are Whey, Creatine and glutamine. My question is, is it alright to pour the creatine/glutamine directly into mouth and then chase with the reccomended amount of water or do you have to dissolve in water before you drink? I find it easier to take this way, but if it is not beneficial I should start doing it the other way. Also how much glutamine and creatine max can be taken at one serving? Thanks!

Also , what is the best time to take and should it be on an empty stomach or full stomach?

Man put it in your mouth and chase it with water!?! You are more of a man than I am! I take creatine and glutamine like a little girl. I have to use lots of water and/or juice and protein shakes. Glutamine takes like s#$%!! I know its best to take creatine with juice. The sugar in the juice allows the creatine to be absorbed faster. Im not too sure about the right time to take glutimine. I usually take about 10 extra grams after a workout.

I've heard the juice with creatine should not be a citrus juice, like orange or grapefruit. Don't know if there's any truth to that, though. Straight powder? eee-yewwwwwhhhh TreeTrunk's right- more of a man than me!

I've always read where grape juice is the ideal juice to mix creatine with. It has a lot of sugar in it!

Yeah, citric acid causes creatine to break down.

Grape juice is best at provoking an insulin response.

I do this with creatine, also. I'm positive that there is no difference between mixing it in your mouth or in a cup. I would do it with glutamine but I take it in peptide form so it would get stuck to my mouth!

it's the dextrose in grapes that make it the best juice, but pure dextrose is a lot better (forgot how much sugar is in a glass of grape juice, but pure dextrose can be up to 80g).

i read that u shouldn't take it all at once, but rather take glutamine, creatine, and protein at least 10min apart. i forgot the reasoning, it was like they all share the same something... but i also read it is very minute, and doesn't matter.

also, beware, for some reason, some creatine powders say "don't swallow undissolved powder" dunno y

How come Citric Acid is in my EAS PhosphagenHP(Grape flavor) thing which is supposed to be a mix of dextrose and creatine?
It's right there on the Ingredient List. Is it to add flavor?

Probably a minute amount as a preservative. Is it pretty far down the ingredient list? The further down, the lesser the amount compared to the other ingredients.

I've only seen that on effervescent creatine powders. I highly doubt there is anything wrong with mixing regular creatine powder in your mouth.

Comes before Potassium which is 80mg a serving. It's the 5th ingredient on the list after dexrose, creatine, taurine, and Natural/Artificial Flavor.

Sounds a little more than the preservative range, doesn't it. It would be interesting to see what the manufacturer has to say about citric acid inactivating creatine.

that much citric acid will not effect the pH that much. Creatine is less stable in acidic contions, reaching an equilibrium with creatinine. Ive often wondered why people really worry because the stomach is quite acidic.
