I thought this was a good article that covers a lot of ground for training in general, not just fighters. It's also good to see more articles being written about fighting. :D

I ran this article because the author has a firm background in martial arts and is a top trainer in the fitness industry. Plus, as you mentioned, I've noticed more and more topics popping up about martial arts training.

great link, im looking forward to MMA myself after my weight lifting training. looks like ill be keeping it more intense on my last month of weight training

I thought the article was great up until point 10. Unless martial arts competition ends at breaking bricks with your fist, aerobic training is very much needed. As anyone who has ever participated in any sort of round based fight knows aerobic conditioning is key to being able to stand up in the ring.

Unless you understand that anaerobic training has all of the benefits of aerobic training and none of the downfalls. ;)
