Well, today (Monday) I weighed myself after my workout. Last time i got weight i was at 218.5. Today i weighed myself and came in at 216.5. So obviously the diet/cardio/lifting is starting to take affect on my not so in shape body =) this is great motivation!!

You realize your weight can and will flucuate several lbs throughout the day. Not to take away your motivation, but that can mean nothing. I've weighed myself in the morning and afternoon and seen 7-8lbs differences. Water weight and all sorts of stuff flucuates.

i weigh myself at the same (5 p.m) and the last meal i eat is very small at noon. and before i weigh in i do 20 min. cardio. thats about all.

Yeah, water weight and other stuff fluctuates naturally. Before I began driking enough water I remember losing 2.5kg in one workout [just one time and albeit a long workout]. Now I don't trust my weight unless my post workout weight is within a few hundred grams of when I started, over or under.

I think body fat is a better indicator, but that too fluctuates naturally. Maybe it takes at least a week to see actual results that aren't just typical fluctuations?

I thought the same thing...In the morning I wieght about 201-203 and before bed 210-213. You might be different but I drink a ton of water so that is where alot of it comes from.

Well congrats on the weight loss, but like everyone else has said your weight can really fluctuate. I find the best and most accurate way to weigh myself is first thing in the morning. My weight still fluctuates, but not nearly as much.

well in that case i can work my ass off for almost 2 weeks and see nothing when, i can sit in a sauna for an hour, and see the same results?

Yes, but one way will be just water weight, the other way is actual fat loss. If your just shooting for a number, then you could cut all carbs out, and sweat out some water and be 5-7lbs lighter.

i'm just saying i think i've lost atleast some fat, people tell me i look a little thinner, noticably. i'm not sure if that true or not, i hope, lol. but i think i lost atleast a little fat.

Good job man, I'm cutting right now too, and I think I see difference, then I dont. It's frustrating, because we see ourselves everyday in the mirror, and we can't see the change. Keep it up, hope you get to your goal.

I don't really want to discourage you here, but 2lbs -even if it is all fat- is not going to make a noticeable difference unless you are 2feet tall.

One week means nothing. Check back in 6-8.

Keep up the good work. As long as you stay consistent you will see results in your near future.

I agree.... i weigh myself about every 5 days... first thing in the morning... butt naked.... then i see how my progress is going from there.

i figured weighing in once a week would show the weekly progress thats all, i've had a number of people say my face/neck area looks thinner so obviously something is losing.....
