Creatine Shelf Life?

Is it true that creatine only has a shelf life of 6 months? After that does it become creatinine. Thanks!

As far as I know creatine lasts virtually forever. I bought a kilo over the summer and the exp. date is 3/2003. I think if you leave creatine mixed in water for a long time it turns to creatinie(sp?):confused:
