I tried to bulk for the past 19 days. The only change is now my pants fell tighter.
I ate around 2500 - 3000 cals a day. A LOT of oatmeal, some whey shakes, peanuts, and milk. I was doing WWB 1, lifting heavy and getting plenty rest. But I did no cardio.
Where did I got wrong? Wasn't like I ate cheese cake everyday.

Thought I would go ahead and ask... how many meals all that fight into? I have been trying to hit 4000-5000 cals daily and have been gaining very little fat. Then again my metabolism is on fire, bout every hour I start to get hungry and every 2.5 hours im starving. I think because I consume food constantly while im awake. Ill make a shake and drink it over 30 min then bout 2 hours later have another small meal, by the end of the day ive eaten like 7-8 meals.

P.S. where is the meat in your diet? Eggs would be good to! Was the the pb natural?

1. You didnt eat enough.

2. You wasted our time by posting this after 19 days of not eating enough. Come back after 8 weeks of not eating enough and I will be glad to help you out.

I think the OP is saying that he has gained weight, but most of it has been fat. So the solution to his problem may not be to eat more. Although 2500-3000 is on the low end of bulking calories. On the other hand, everybody's metabolism is different.

TJ: Nobody can help you until you give more details about your diet.

19 days is nothing. 4 weeks is about the minimum. 3000 calories is barely anything for a bulk unless you are a girl.

Or you just don't weigh that much...or your body responds enough to 3000 calories. The level of calories needed for a bulk varies from person to person, you can't generalize.

My diet:
1st meal 6:00
whey shake in ff milk, peanuts (not peanut butter), 2 1/2 cups of oatmeal
2nd meal (this is like 4 hours later because of classes)
Power bar
3rd meal (2 1/2 hours later)
%1 Milk
*notice meal 2 and 3 are small - I have no lunch at school. So I eat when I can. ;/
4th (2 - 3 hours later)
3 cups of Oatmeal, whey shake in ff milk, ff milk
5th (3 hours later after workout)
Whey shake in ff milk, 3 - 4 cups of oatmeal, ff milk
6th (2 hour later)
Whey shake in ff milk, 2 - 3 cups of oatmeal, some peanuts

Snacks - Once in a while I'd have an oatmeal bar or a power bar in addition to my 4th or 5th meal.

I'm gonna give you a hint ... you eat 12.5 cups of oatmeal a day. That's 3600 calories in OATMEAL ALONE.

Depends on if the measurement is dry oatmeal, or really watered down stuff :P If it's dry oatmeal, 12.5 cups is huge!

Your whole diet is oatmeal, whey, milk and peanuts.

Get some variety in there.

Try eating chicken breasts, fruits, vegetables. There isn't any protein from meat in your diet. Also fruits and vegetables are a must for vitamins, minerals, fiber and energy.

yea lay off all the oatmeal - just eat it in the morning....how about TUNA (its fairly cheap too)..and like others said throw some meat and veg's in there.

I def know it's hard trying to get your diet in check while at school....how about getting some boneless chicken and cooking it up on a forman (awesome to have) and pack them for snacks throughout the day. Also you could get a jar of natty PB and have a spoonful or two of that throughout the day.

I revised my diet, it's working good so far, I feel better.
I posted a thing on my frigg "NO MORE THAN 2 BOWLS OF OATMEAL A DAY!"
I'm eating more meat and veg too. A lot more acutally.
I've learned that you can't be lazy while bulking, taking the extra 1 1/2 mins to cook some turkey is totally worth it. :)

Damn dude. I CUT (1lb a week) on 2800 - 3000 cals a day.
