Average? It really depends on the meet, but probably 225-275.

It depends on who shows up. I new two guys in H.S. around that wt one did 300's+, the other 260-275. Just do it for yourself and don't worry about what the others do you can't control that.

I would assume raw. There are a few lifters on this site in that weight class who are putting up similar numbers. And Kevin S. had videos of him doing 315 raw while weighing ~150.

Well I know CR is elite level and he gets like 80ish pounds out of his shirt at 345 or whatever. He's hardcore and his raw bench is still in the 200s....I believe.

Chris is a strong mofo and I'm not taking anything away from him, but his bench was never his best lift. He must have some long dangly arms on him or something. :p

Raw touch n go both where short 5'1" and maybe 5'6". One of them held state records for sometime I believe.

A buddy of mine competed at 181 and he put up 485 raw at a meet. I think he held some sort of (world?) record though.

Who cares? Just go and bench. You'll learn a ton and make some friends. Don't expect anyone to be there benching raw though. I've seen 148s bench around 250-280. KevinStarke benched 285 in the 148 class and just missed 300 (Raw) back in June.

181s are good for 375+ (unless you're me :( )

That's strange, I'd never noticed the difference in your bench vs. other lifts. You're a beast though. Is bench just an unnatural motion for you? Injuries?

the absolete record is still 711 i believe in raw lifts. Not sure what it is in a drug tested fed.

Mendelson just upped his own record (711) to 715 earlier in the year.

I am 6foot tall and 165. Most people my weight are 1/2 foot shorter, I have done 275, just did 250x4. I think 225 at 148 would be pretty good though.
