Are there powerlifting/OL lifting coaches in the NYC area who train the public? I know schools and colleges have strength coaches, but are there any options for the general public? I'm sure a lot of you will recommend doing it by yourself, and I do, but I'm just wondering if there are experts who train the public at large, and if so, where these guys are.

Thanks

I wouldn't guess so. Just pick one and stick with it. Pulling your training in too many directions will leave you will poor results in all of them.

I actually just want to train with some hard core powerlifters who know what they're doing.

I'm sure if you go on the USAPL website they will have a list of various powerlifting clubs. Or you can simply post a question listing your area, and they will give you contact info on folks that train near you.

Most powerlifters are very helpful to folks looking to learn or just train hard.
