Just wondering if rubbing Preparation H on the abs, and then wrapping up in plastic wrap actually works to tighten the skin? I've dumped a pile of weight in the last month on a cut, and want to get the skin around my gut to tighten up. I've heard of a lot of competitors doing this, but has anyone here actually tried it? Does it work? How well?

Umm... never heard of it. Sounds iffy. Let us know if it works.

haha I will. I know a bunch of competitors that do it, they basically coat their stomach with preparation H, then wrap cellophane around their abdomen a few times, and sleep wrapped up like that, apparently it makes the skin contract and tighten up..

you can use it to reduce facial wrinkles and make bags under your eyes less visible

i actually have some for this exact reason

I think the prep H only helps reduce subcutaneous water stores. I don't know if that would help tighten the skin, and would think it's results would only be temporary at best.

It relieves itching, burning, and discomfort... at least that's what the commercials say. ;)

believe it or not, it does work.. the skin gets much tighter for a day or so. the skin is also a little red for 20-30 minutes after you wipe and wash it off

prep H is not like Icy Hot...it won't burn eye lids...remember, its original purpose is to soothe the anus (did I really just type that?)

I could see it working for short term skin shrinkage. My tattoo artist uses it, instead of Vaseline, because it helps keep the skin stretched a little tighter, making for better line work.
