I read somewhere that you shouldn't eat anything up to 3 hours before going to sleep, because it does something that makes your body release less gh.
What do you think?

You know I have heard the same thing all my life. But tonight a friend told me that its alright to eat before bed as long as: its not carbs, and its done in moderation. Eat a protein such as a couple of slices of deli meat or egg whites.

I've always read where you want low carbs eat foods like cottage cheese because of the casein it has. I have always read bodybuilders are to stay away from deli-meat. I guess because of the fat content.

I eat a can of tuna and cottage cheese before bed, 50g protien. I then get up about 4 hours later and eat some peanutbutter, and more cottage cheese.

Tryska; do you think it lowers GH levels in any significant amount?

I think that carbohydrates in general can lower GH by a significant amount...but I'm still not fully sure on how important minor GH spikes are in the grand scheme. (if that makes any sense)

the release of insulin inhibits the release of GH.
