Joined the Y last month and have been working out pretty steadily. Here's the frame I'm starting with.

5' 10"
223lbs

To lose bf% and be HUGE. I'd like to have a smokin' body.

Well, pick one goal at a time. Recomposition is a black art. I'd start by losing a little fat, then clean bulk for a while.

I'd definitly cut until you are lean before you do any kind of bulk. That will work best in my opinion.

Yep, listen to what the guys have mentioned. Clean up that diet (not fun), lose the fat (not fun), then work on getting HUGE (fun).

If you have never really seriously lifted before, you can see muscle gains while cutting. It is much harder to do both at the same time once you have been doing it for a while but newbie gains can happen on a cut.

^hey man ive lost 50 lbs and gained 50 lbs on bench =D

good frame dude, stick with it the Y is a great place
