Kid lists new gearset for sale at $100
Buyer sends $100+shipping for gears
Seller cashes check
Seller re-lists gears at $125
Buyer and forum members go ballistic
Seller (henceforth known as "douchebag") began acting like a little bitch
Forum Mod begins releasing his info (full name, parents name/address, IP address etc.)
Douchebag cries "invasion of privacy" and "harassment"
Forum discovers gears are actually used
Douchbag ships gears
Buyer demands refund instead of used gears that were fraudulently sold as new
Douchebag decends further into douchedom

And the fun goes on and on.

I recommend at least 2 bags of popcorn for this one folks. It’s great

Man, that's awsome. Pretty cool to have a mod that's so involved as well as a lawyer with connections.

Over on a car audio forum that I visit often, there was a dude a while ago that kept screwing people in the for sale section. Not sending what they had bought, just not sending anything, lying, etc.... anyways. Couple people found his real name and address and actually took a weekend trip and visited him. One guy was charged with assautly, but I'm sure the scammer still learned his lesson.

Thats a good thread. The problem with the internet is you could be dealing with a "kid" like this that doesn't know the laws, always a chance you could get screwed.

I think the ownage is better but the situation is less amusing than the one I posted about a while back, concerning the everquest player. He was wikipiediazed and threatened legal action also.

I like the Nigerians scams the best.

You know, the ones where they pretend they are bankers or diplomats and write to you saying :"Please send us $1,000 to claim $24.5 million dollars that we have in posession from your great uncle".

People on there post pics and everything, they end up scamming the scammers themselves for our amusement.
