I eat probably 14-16 slices of bread a day. Sandwiches are my favorite thing to eat. On top of eating 7-8 sandwiches a day, I drink tons of milk too. The scale has'nt gone up and I really do not think that i'm cutting fat. Does anyone else eat alot of bread? Just how bad do you think this could be?

I don't know what your caloric requirements are, but if you're trying to cut, eating a loaf of bread everyday is probably gonna stop you dead in your tracks.

That much bread may not be good for you im sure some1 will have a more technical explanation as to why but im sure ive read somewere it isnt good for you except if its whole weat. anyhow the point were your not gaining or loosing comes down to wether your above or below maintanance nothing else simply

It is whole wheat bread. Each slice has about 50 calories with 7-10grams of carbs. THoughts?

Whole wheat is the best bread to eat but to much of anything is bad. What are you trying to do, cut? Or are you just really likeing the bread and don't want to get fat?
Depends on what else you're eating too, any other carb sources? Just do some extra cardio until you get sick of bread. I used to be all over Russian black bread - a loaf a day almost. I got sick of it after a couple weeks and haven't ate it since.

I think it should be whole grain, not just whole wheat. And yeah that is a lot of bread.

Why do you all think that is bad, or too much?

Also, bread can be labeled whole grain, whole wheat, etc. but is often not 100% whole wheat.

Rye bread is probably better than wheat, and I've got to wonder what all you are eating if you stuff yourself with this much bread - do you have any room for real food in there?

Well I know for a fact its 100% whole wheat. I make alot of turkey sandwiches and sometimes i'll have a PB and Jelly. I think that the fact that sandwiches are so convenient and they are so damn good, it just makes it harder for me to limit how many I have. My diet is not a good diet by all means, but its pretty clean.

Breakfast: 1 1/2 cups of oatmeal, 2 cups FF milk.
Mid-day snack: 2 slices WW bread, 2 slices turkey, 1tbsp mustard.
Lunch: 4 slices WW bread, 4 slices turkey, 3 cups FF milk, 1/4 of a tomato, 3 tbsp Light Mayo, 1 cup oatmeal,
Pre-workout: High sugar bar of some sort, 1 cup orange juice.
Post-workout: Protein shake
Dinner: 4 slices WW bread, 4 slices turkey, 3 tbsp light mayo, 2 1/2 cups FF milk.

I try to put in my Flax seed and fish oil whenever i'm not lazy.

ERM. NOt really getfit, I'm here to admit I have the worst eating habbits. I have maybe 3 sweet potatoes throughout the week. If I have the chance i'll eat some kind of green veggie, but its not often. :(

Yeh, I'll have a salad every once in a while, but not as often as I should. Thanx getfit.

The problem with vegetables is that you have to prepare them. Sandwiches take like 2 seconds to make.

They have this low carb "Healthy Life" brand bread at my store, its 35cal a slice. You should try to find some. Although 14-16 is a ****load, I eat maybe like 8 slices a day.

^ its not a bad idea to jsut throw veggies in your sandwich...

grated carrots, olives (are these veggies?), lettuce, cucumbers, beans, onions, and whatnot

it actually tastes pretty good

on cuts i switch to whole grain tortillas :]
