My sister's boyfriend is a fisherman and just got back from his trip and I just got 25 lbs of king crab and three whole halibuts :evillaugh . I think I'm going to check the nutrition facts on the crab later. sry just wanted to brag, my family is infatuated with crab so this is exciting.

I love crab legs... 25lbs would last me ohhhh 2 days maybe.
Halibut on the other hand would last me 2 weeks :D

I would kill for crab. Definitely my favorite seafood.

yes you can make a ton of money crabbing, But it is one of the most dangerous jobs and there is usually one or more Deaths each season and many more serious injuries.
There was a very intresting show about it on the Discovery Channel, It would be quite the experience..
I am watching the show, Deadliest catch.

Alos since the season is sooo short most the people barely get any sleep. It looks like a demanding job for someone whos gotten good sleep and is in decent shape, but try it while going on 48-78 hours no sleep and I bet it gets a little intresting.
When I saw the show the boat got crushed by a wave and one guy got knocked overboard by the metal crab catcher, That thing has also mamed(sp) and killed people..
Hassy, about 45 guys get killed each season
each season lasts 90hours..

how big were the halibut? I usually can only get an average 50 lber from the san francisco bay here, but i know further north they can get up to 300 flippin lbs.

agreed. halibut is good **** but gets old quick. crab is always good.

i should probably tell you that it's not three whole halibut, sorry. it's one, but the slices are so big I thought it was three different fish haha.
