i've got faith that natural disasters will cause unrest and a struggle for survival that will put war on hold as the human population will struggle for survival, and not for their borders. granted, this will not be unaccompanied by military conflict, but in no way do i forsee the "end" as being triggered by military conflict, but by natural disasters. we trash our world, and do so proudly, but do we realize what we're doing? i think not.

the weather is getting worse, and i've been tracking it since '99. 5 years later, and it's shown no signs of letting up. we need to blow up the panama canal, and create a global ocean current to re-balance the ecosystem. the north atlantic ocean current is dwindling, and is the cause of the string of hurricanes assaulting the area, it'll only get worse as the ice sheets melt, causing less energy transfer between the equator and the northern areas of the atlantic.

it's a good possibility considering the frequency the average person travels. the least likely to be wiped out would be 3rd world countries and ignorance would reign supreme for centuries!
