View Full Version : Are these forms of carbs ok close to bed

In my diet I just started, I am not eating carbs later than 6pm, or at least trying my damnest not to. I wanted to know if a salad would be that bad a couple hours before bed. I mean I know its carbs, but would eating a small salad with some meat and veggies in it a couple hours before bed really defeat the purpose of my cutting back on carbs. I know a combo of protein and fat is best to eat at night, but I was just wondering. Im trying to cut some bf, not looking to add any more weight. Thanks.
Not a problem. If you were a real rebel, you could even eat a slice of wheat bread at night. (*gasp*) Yes, it's true.

salads and green veggies are fine anytime during the day, night and pretty much in unlimited amounts.

Before bed I eat a peanut butter bagel with a protein shake (mixed with skim milk) and sometimes a granola bar (chocolate chip and marshmellow).
I don't really care, it's not like I'm on a pre-contest diet.
