When I play hockey I don't start until around 10:30-11:00, If I play for like a hour and then I'm just going to sleep what do I wanna consume after? I'm guessing it's the same as pw but I'm not sure? Do I want sugar to replace the glycogen? How much?

if it's gonna be the last meal of the day i'd say use complex, low GI carbs. this way you've got less chance of waking up with hunger pains.

I'd go with complex, low gi carbs also. Something like brown rice or oatmeal along with your protein.

My preference would be oatmeal and cottage cheese if I was in your situation but there are many options.

I actually agree that you should have some more complex in there too.

this is where blends like Metrx proplus or propeptide by yates can be rather useful.

if not, go for chicken, beef, cottage cheese, tuna etc... I'm sure you know the drill.

complex/low gi

The best time to consume high GI or/and simple carbs is as soon as you wake up in the morning.

what's your opinion on fruit john? and your opinion on fruit eaten at various times throughout the day? other than the 'moderation' explanation.
