I would like to say this man drinks AT LEAST 4 of these a day, no joke. He is a person who is always stressed, its just the way he is, and being the manager of a resturant probably doesn't help that. I know both are very bad for your heart and blood pressure. Anyone have any articles on why this stuff is bad so I can convince him not to drink so much. Also what about reccomending EC stack to him, it's much cheeper and easier to put in your body, from what I hear it works better, and you dont get all that sugar. I personally dont find that red bull gives me an energy spike, maybe just a slight raise. I also think he's becoming immue to this stuff as well, he's been doing this 4+ a day stuff for about 4 months.

You say that red bull is bad for the heart and blood pressure, then want to recommend an EC stack instead?

I think you should do at least 1 minute of reading on this stuff before you make anymore suggestions to your father.

Thats why I'm posting in here, and I said "what about reccommending EC stack to him". I guess I should of figured I would get those type of responces from some of you guys, if anyone has any real suggestions on this matter it would be of great help. It has to be better than 4+ red bulls a day because he has basically become immune to them in my opinion.

haha.. that's what I was thinking. Personally if I drank 4 red bulls a day I would be 10x stressed out. I think if you are really stressed out caffeine should be a no no.

It's just caffeine and sugar. No huge deal. It will not have as high an impact on his blood pressure as ephedrine would.

That's why I said read a bit, since by your suggestions, you obviously haven't.

I don't mind helping people, but at least show some initiative to look at info that is very easily accessible already.

To me, 4 red bulls is not a huge deal. If you put him on an EC stack, AND he continues to sneak the odd red bull, plus whatever other caffeinated products he takes in a day, then it can become an issue.

You dont think 4 red bulls a day is an issue? lol Remember the "too much of anything is bad" comment that always floats around here which I agree with. it also costs like $1.88 per can of red bull, thats $60 a week on red bull alone.

One of my other questions was asking if anyone know of some good sites that say red bull is really bad for you, that way I could e-mail that to my mom and she would then make him stop.

Your dad is a grown man, with his own business. If he wants to spend $60 a week on Red Bull, then there's nothing wrong with it, as long as he is able to provide for the family.

Petey makes a great point. Your mom isn't going to make him stop drinking those Red Bulls. Granted he might not drink them around her as much, but when he's alone, he'll do what he pleases. If you go recommend him an ephedrine stack he'll more than likely run into some health problems, as he'll likely continue to drink some Red Bulls as well as other caffeinated (sp?) drinks.

Red Bull has 80mg of caffeine, roughly the same as a cup of coffee. If it was 4 cups of coffee a day would you freak out? I'm guessing 3 cups is probably the average for many office workers, with some that drink way more.

If you google you can find tons of sites with poor psuedo-science, and voodoo proclamations stating how bad red bull is. Unfortunately, there haven't been any actual conclusive studies on it.

Sure it's expensive though. But I bet anything he isn't paying for them if he manages the restaurant, or at the very least, paying a very low amount.

When I bounced at a bar, I'd have 2 or 3 in a night because they were free.

If your dad has high blood pressure, and shouldn't be taking in very much caffeine, then you should of course advise him against it.

Anyway, use google, for your scare tactics sites, none of them will be conclusive, but I"m sure they will be filled with the misinformation you seek to sway your dad.

AT least from the research I've done the harm in red bull isn't the caffene, it's the other sugars and stuff they put in it. Thats why the same mg's of caffene in red bull is supposed to give you more energy than what coffee gives you. I've taken red bull before, but I dont drink coffee so I can't comment from personal experience. And yes my dad would stop drinking the stuff if he knew it was really bad for him, he's always getting on my case for taking supplements because he thinks wrongly that they are bad for me.

P.S. if you dont have constructive arguments either agreeing or dissagreeing you should probably not post on the subjects, I see a lot of that going on in many threads.

You know what? I'm sick of your lazy ass attitude.

So I'm going to lock this thread, since you obviously are too lazy to look for anything yourself, too slow to recognize facts when they are presented, and too annoying to converse with further.

So go find your own ****ing information, or just make it up since it seems you only care to prove a point that isn't even valid.

So have a nice day.
