When I was taking ALCAR, I was dosing it at 2g 3x/day. It's a great supplement when combined with 200mg r-ala. Add ~800mg green tea extract and 2g L-tyrosine (between meals), take them all 3x/day and you've got yourself a nice little stack. -guy on another board

Primary question-
Can I add choline to this stack as well? And how much? I don't see why not, but I like to check with people who know thier stuff.


secondary questions-
Also, he doesn't mean take the r-ala 3 times a day does he? I figured just post workout.

And for green tea extract, how do you know it has caffeine in it? I bought one that said neither if it did or didn't have caffeine in it. Does shaddow mean caffiene free or decaf?

for the green tea extract is 40% catechins 60% polyphenols fine?

If I am trying to gain muscle (lean bulking) should I drop the green tea extract and the l-tyrosine from this stack?

^^^pretty much, some days are better than normal.

I am trying to lean bulk, and I am small enough where this is possible.

well, clean bulk it is then.

keep it that way and lift.

You can add choline, but keep it under 500mg/day. You should be getting enough in your diet, as choline seems to be in just about everything edible (providing your foods are unprocessed). About the ALA, the reasoning behind 600mg, is that most clinical studies showed efficacy at the 600mg dosage. Unfortunately, these studies strip out any and all other supplements, and therefore don't effectively address any synergisms that may result from blending supplements. I'm thinking 600mg is a bit much, just from my own experiences. And since you're taking the R-fraction, which is even more potent, I dunno. Maybe half would work as well. R-ALA ain't cheap. I currently take 300 mg and my recent Spectrox analysis came back in the upper 75%. Everyone is different, of course, so your workload might dictate that you should take more, but I seriously wouldn't think so.

does clean bulk mean no supps? Both ALCAR and r-ALA help to add muscle.

I was going to take 200mg post workout only of r-ALA.

I was asking for safety reasons as this is a number of supplements and I take a multi.

I don't see any problem with combining these. Clean bulk just means strip the crap out of your diet, and eat high quality, nutrient dense, foods in excess of maintenance calorie intake.
