Ok, I ordered $200 worth of supplements the other day, should be coming in today.

Anyway, one of the problems with living in Canada, is that newer products are more difficult to get. For example, powder based on micellar protein is scarce, and often only found in very small amounts, unless it's in a meal replacement package, which will be pricey, and way higher in price.

So, I noticed on SND canada a new protein product, Nutrabolics Isobolic. It's blend seems quite good, considering it's based on whey isolate, and 2nd is micellar protein, then egg isolate, followed finally by whey concentrate.

I had previously used SAN infusion, however, SAN only comes in 2lb tubs and costs $55, while Nutrabolics comes in 5lbs and costs $80, so better value. This means I don't need to buy an additional 5lb tub of ON just for standard protein needs.

Anyway, if anyone has used this, or read on it, it would be cool to hear from you. Otherwise, I will try this tonight, and then provide a small review of taste, mixability, etc.

Wouldn't AtLarge be cheaper?

I guess it's hard to compare when we don't know how much Casein is really in each product.

That's a lot of burritos. Seriously though, I've never heard of it, but the name turns me off. I actually thought this was going to be a joke thread making fun of products that try to sound anabolic.

I don't know why you'd pay $80 when you can get Nitrean for $40.

$40 US, which will come out to $50, then shipping also in US dollars, then Duty, then whatever added taxes get added on in addition. It works out roughly to be the same.

I have tried Atlarge protein and it's great, but it would cost me ~$75 and take 2-3 weeks minimum to arrive. This costs negligibly, more, has more expensive ingredients, and will be here in a day. I am completely out of protein, so needed to receive shipment fast.

Micellar protein, and virtually all ingredients being isolates means it will be a superior blend and still mix well. If I could get this from AtLarge I certainly would, but in this case, I needed it fast, plus I needed other stuff that At Large doesn't sell.

So I get free shipping, next day delivery, and 5% off $200+ orders, this is mainly why I've stuck with SND Canada over the years. Duty is a bitch, and shipping is a bitch. It's unfortunate, but it's true.

I googled and found a few reviews for it, and it seems like people feel it's great for mixability, and tastes great. Although, the chocolate gets the worst score, and the rasperry yogurt suprisingly gets insane ratings for taste, from several different people that sampled it.

Actually, if you do that math with the actual numbers it comes out to around $48 CAD each when you buy 3 at once (that includes shipping, duty, and conversion from USD). The wait time for shipping sucks, but if I'm saving $120 I can wait 5-10 business days.

Although I do agree that SND has great service and fast shipping. I remember calling them for a tracking number and the delivery guy knocked on my door while I was on the phone.

I dunno if that's with some deal that's going on right now.

But I know both Jeff and I orderd a tub and for both of us it ended up costing between $70-80.

I usually wait until I need a bunch of different things before I order anyway, so it's not going to be cost effective to order from many different sites. At Large protein was amazing for mixability so it's not that I am not a fan.

SND though I can always try new things since they have a vary large variety, and of course, they have won me over with their delivery times and service.

I also ordered these oatmeal cups from muscle milk to try out. Bit pricey, but in my opinion worth it. Works out to $3 per cup, but it's 300 calories, supposedly tastes amazing, and gives 30g of protein. Anything that you can simply add hot water to is super convenient for me at work. Sure I could make it myself, but not at work, so this is a great way for me to fight off hunger at my desk and get good protein at the same time.

Maybe it was before they switched to Airmail ... I know my first order I got dinged hard, but Chris switched carriers so there's no brokerage fee anymore. You still pay duty, but it's basically tax on orders over $100 or something. In fact, my last shipment was around $100USD and I didn't pay any duty .....

Crap, that's pretty damned sweet, and cheap too!

Anyone order from here or the US affiliate? It's not quite as complex as protein factory, but the pricing is amazing for what is offered. I wonder how much shipping charges are.

Do a search on them - weren't there some issues at one point?

Oh, reading the news, it says they've had a change in management in canada, and will be launching a new website with better pricing, more product assortment, and easier shipping methods.

So I'll check back maybe around xmas just to see what's up.

Just searching now, found a few forums, with no issues and glowing recommendations. Funny, the first site the guy was talking about ordering from ALN before he found this place and was re-considering. So at least it looks like At Large is getting around the net at least.

I'll keep searching, but so far, the only thing I have found is that some people get a bit of spam from others telling them to try it, so maybe a referral service of some kind, which I wouldn't really fault the company for.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear - I was referring to trueprotein.

I wouldn't buy anything called Isobolic. :)

I was talking about true protein, as in the company.

As for the name of the supplement, I don't really care what it's called, I just look at the ingredients. There are limited options in canada on micellar protein based supplements, so this is one I hadn't seen before so thought I'd try it.

Iso makes sense since it's virtually an all isolate based protein blend. Bolic, well, many supps will include this for catchiness or whatever, but as long as it doesn't refer to a pump as the ungodly goal of training I usually disregard marketing gimmicks.
