I've seen these numbers before but since I'm paying more attention now (and preparing for my first attempt at a bulk) I decided to run them again.
I ended up with a RMR of 1760 (which is, uh, what I am cutting at more or less).
Activity pushed it to 2600
My typical day at the gym apparantly adds 300 to this on lift days (I subtracted rest breaks though the writer didn't).
It just seems so high. Someone who is 5'4, 162 lbs, 20% bf requiring 3000 to maintain on lift days?
It seems high... but I ate 3300 calories yesterday. Pure garbage - pizza and dairy queen with my future in-laws. I thought today I'd be a slug but... I feel great. Better than I have in months. I wasn't tired at all today (normally I'm so sleepy I'm practically dozing all day). I have energy to burn. It's unreal.
What's the general opinion on the calculations used in this article?
